Your name on the Chaldean letter table - Soul Urge, Personality, Maturity and more.
What this computes
Your name's letters are valued on the Chaldean table, which groups letters by sound and gives no letter the value 9 - a different table from the Pythagorean one the main numerology profile uses. The vowels total to a Soul Urge number and the consonants to a Personality number, with Y and W counted as vowels only in the positions the source names. The birth date joins the name for the Maturity, Goal Power and Karmic Debt readings, while the Attitude number is the birth month and the birth day added and reduced, with no name in it. Both a name and a date are needed here; a birth time is not.

A worked example
For Priya Sharma, born on 14 August 1994
For Priya Sharma, born 1994-08-14, the Chaldean table gives Soul Urge 4 and Personality 7, the month and day give Attitude 22, and the name with the Life Path gives Maturity 2 and Goal Power 2 from a Purpose Number of 11. The birth day, 14, is flagged as a Karmic Debt number, and Soul Qualities are flagged for 3, 5, 6 and 7.
Chaldean
- Soul urge number
- 4
- Soul urge meaning
- A natural desire for system and order, and very good at working with their hands - tend to be craftsmen, traders or entrepreneurs.
- Personality number
- 7
- Personality meaning
- Introverted, shy and deep thinkers - perceived as shadow persons who love to merge with the background, yet very observant and a keen judge of human behaviour. Highly intelligent, with the ability to "see through" people; others may be intimidated by their piercing observations. Seekers of truth with clear opinions, always seeking wisdom - regarded as wise or "old souls".
- Attitude number
- 22
- Maturity number
- 2
- Maturity meaning
- You will discover a growing talent for cooperating and working with other people as you mature. Your ability to influence situations through tact and diplomacy will grow. You will become more peaceful and tolerant and try to find a middle path in every aspect. Your quieter demeanour may shift the spotlight away from you, so learn to be satisfied if you do not get the power or fame directly now.
- Life path compound meaning
- After the 19 and 23, the number "36" is the most success-oriented number in numerology. The 36 whose root number is "9" (3 + 6) is the most business oriented of all the number 9 vibrations. It combines the attributes of the number 3 (self-expression, intuition, and ambition) with the attributes of the number 6 (harmony, balance, truth, service, teaching, and counseling) on an overarching environment of the "9" (completion, force, energy, healing, universality, and compassion). The 36 patterns would govern teaching centers, organizations, and businesses that emphasize creative self-expression, spiritual values, healing, or personal counseling. It is a good vibrational pattern for "teaching" hospitals, medical referral, or consultation businesses.
Attitude meaning
- Qualities
- Look at the traits of the number 4 and then add the intensity of the 22. The 22 is the most powerful number in Numerology, yet it's also quite challenging to master the energies related to it. You're here to be a Master Builder and to leave something of lasting value that helps people on a day-to-day basis. The 11 is dreamy; the 22 is practical. You may give the impression that you're self-absorbed, literal-minded and married to routine.
- Challenges
- The Master Numbers are intense and challenging. Remember that when you're working with a Master Number, you're running a marathon, not a sprint. Pace yourself.
Karmic debt

Number 14
Why
This number arises when the individual has abused freedom in previous births. 14 Karmic Debt people have to adapt to ever-changing circumstances and unexpected occurrences - there is acute danger of falling prey to traps and addictions of drugs, alcohol, or overindulgence in sensual pleasures such as food and sex.
Key to crack
- MODESTY - There is a strong need to lead a balanced life and to make deliberate efforts to do things only in moderation.
- EMOTIONAL STABILITY - Maintain emotional equilibrium as life will be unexpected and can cause emotional turbulence. Adopt remedies and people who can keep you stabilised.
- FOCUS - on your goals and dreams. Flexibility and adaptability are the two lessons that need to be learned when Karmic Debt is 14.
- COMMITMENT - heart should be set on what is true and of a higher vibration.
- AVOID - unnecessary expenses and pleasure gratification.
Goal power
- Goal power number
- 2
- Purpose number
- 11
- Raw total
- 20
- Meaning
- You could enjoy great success as an Arbiter, Peacemaker, Advisor or Consultant. Involve yourself in the arts, such as music, dancing or art - you are a gatherer of data, so use it. Your "bywords" are cooperation and association. Don't bend over backwards "too" much in working with others, or you could become a doormat.
- Compound meaning
- The "zero" gives the "20" an open-ended potential to the qualities of the number 2-heightened sensitivity, enriched imagination, magnified receptivity and diplomacy, and understanding of the nature of cooperation. The "20" is a natural peacemaker vibration, the most fortunate of the 2's. Many will be attracted to the vibration pattern of the "20" to receive spiritual, psychological, and mental support. The pattern of experiences develops from spiritual success and not particularly from material success.

Number 3
The missing "3" indicates a failure to promote yourself when required to - lack of self-confidence and self-esteem. Any form of self-expression was avoided; you avoided and hid from public and social events. You will find yourself in experiences and events where the qualities of self-expression - speaking, writing or singing - will be required for success.
Number 5
Avoided life experiences in general, and in particular with other human beings - lacked understanding, versatility and adaptability. You made an effort to avoid anything new and innovative. You will experience constant change, and may be placed in many emergency situations - you must be more "worldly" in order to profit from the lesson of freedom and action.
Number 6
Shows a prior refusal to assume responsibility - you displayed a fear of being tied down, performing duties and fulfilling obligations, and failed to understand the beauty of service to people. Events will place you in an environment where family and friends will require support and care - you must learn to adjust, adapt and respond; meeting your obligations will be of the highest importance.
Number 7
Indicates a prior decided unwillingness to train your mind in a logical and scientific manner - a failure to examine causes before arriving at conclusions or accepting results, and an avoidance of inner or spiritual development. You will be given the opportunity to develop "faith" as a replacement for trust in things and reliance on people; you will strive to learn the difference between illusion and reality.
How it is calculated
Following the Life With Number Magick course notes, each letter takes its Chaldean value: A, I, J, Q, Y are 1; B, K, R 2; C, G, L, S 3; D, M, T 4; E, H, N, X 5; U, V, W 6; O, Z 7; F, P 8. Within each word, A, E, I, O and U are vowels, Y only as the first or only letter, and W only beside one of those five. Vowels give the Soul Urge, consonants the Personality, with 11, 22 and 33 kept.
Maturity adds the Life Path and the whole-name total, each cut to one digit, then cuts the sum again. Karmic Debt flags any of five totals - Life Path, whole name, birth day, Soul Urge, Personality - that passes through 13, 14, 16 or 19 while reducing. From William Mykian's Numerology Made Easy, Goal Power reduces the one-digit Life Path plus the Purpose Number, the whole-name total reduced with masters kept, and Soul Qualities count each value 1 to 8 in the name: 1, 3, 5 and 7 need three, the rest one.
What it cannot tell you
- Apart from Attitude, every number here depends at least partly on the spelling you enter. The engine's notes describe the full birth name; a nickname, initials or a married name can change results.
- Letters outside A to Z are dropped before counting, so a name written in Devanagari or with accented letters cannot be read as written.
- Two readings rest on the engine's own call about inconsistent source slides: Attitude keeps master numbers, and the Karmic Debt 19 text is a best-effort reading of a mislabelled slide.
Questions people ask
- Why are these numbers different from the Numerology Profile's?
- The profile uses the Pythagorean table, where letters run 1 to 9 in alphabet order and only A, E, I, O and U are vowels. This page uses the Chaldean table with its own Y and W rules. For the sample name that gives Soul Urge 4 and Personality 7 here, against 3 and 9 on the profile.
- Does a Karmic Debt flag mean something bad will happen?
- No. A flag only means one of five totals passed through 13, 14, 16 or 19 on its way down - for the sample, the birth day 14 itself. The text beside it is the source's own explanation and its keys to work on, such as moderation and focus, not a forecast.
- Where is my Name Number?
- The whole-name Chaldean total feeds three readings rather than standing alone. Reduced with master numbers kept, it becomes the Purpose Number inside Goal Power - 11 for the sample. Cut all the way to one digit, it becomes the name half of the Maturity Number, and its reduction is one of the five Karmic Debt checks.
In depth
What this long-form adds to the calculator above
The calculator above lists the Chaldean letter values, the vowel rules and the formulas, and works the page's sample name. This section works the rules through more names, so that each one can be seen doing something: a full name valued letter by letter, the Y and W rules changing a result, one letter of spelling changing several numbers at once, and each kind of Karmic Debt flag arising. It also sets the two letter tables in this app side by side, records the places where the source course notes are themselves inconsistent and what the engine decided, and explains the Soul Qualities count in more detail than the method can. Every number below came from this app's engine, run for this page.
The two letter tables, letter by letter
This app values names twice. The Numerology Profile uses the Pythagorean table, where the alphabet is laid out in rows of nine; this page uses the Chaldean table, which the engine's comment says groups letters by sound and leaves 9 unused. The engine also notes that its Chaldean table matches the ones printed in Advanced Vedic Numerology and in Numerology Made Easy, the latter after an apparent clash over the letter W turned out, on a clean re-read, to be a misread page. Setting the two side by side shows how differently they treat the same letter.
| Letters | Pythagorean value | Chaldean value |
|---|---|---|
| A, I, J, Q | 1, 9, 1, 8 | 1 each |
| Y | 7 | 1 |
| B, K, R | 2, 2, 9 | 2 each |
| C, G, L, S | 3, 7, 3, 1 | 3 each |
| D, M, T | 4, 4, 2 | 4 each |
| E, H, N, X | 5, 8, 5, 6 | 5 each |
| U, V, W | 3, 4, 5 | 6 each |
| O, Z | 6, 8 | 7 each |
| F, P | 6, 7 | 8 each |
Only a handful of letters keep the same value in both: A, J, B, K, C, L, D, M, E and N. Everything else moves, sometimes a long way - I is 9 in one table and 1 in the other, R is 9 and 2, Q is 8 and 1. The Chaldean table also crowds its letters unevenly: five letters are worth 1, four each are worth 3 and 5, three each are worth 2, 4 and 6, and only two each are worth 7 and 8. Names lean towards low Chaldean totals as a result, which is part of why the same name gives different numbers on the two pages.
A full name valued letter by letter
Take Aarav Kapoor, the name this app's rules document uses for its Pythagorean example, born 19 July 1996. On the Chaldean table the letters of Aarav are 1, 1, 2, 1, 6 and those of Kapoor are 2, 1, 8, 7, 7, 2. The whole name adds to 38.
- Vowels: the three As of Aarav and the A, O and O of Kapoor, 1+1+1 and 1+7+7, give 18, which reduces to 9. Soul Urge 9.
- Consonants: R and V in Aarav, K, P and R in Kapoor, 2+6 and 2+8+2, give 20, which reduces to 2. Personality 2.
- Attitude: the month plus the day, 7 plus 19, is 26, which reduces to 8. No letter is involved.
- Maturity: the Life Path, 6, plus the whole-name total cut to one digit - 38 to 11 to 2 - is 8.
- Goal Power: the Life Path 6 plus the Purpose Number, which is the same 38 reduced but stopping at the master 11, gives a raw 17, which reduces to 8.
- Karmic Debt: the birth day is the 19th, and 19 is one of the four debt numbers, so the Basic/Psychic Number is flagged with 19. None of the other four totals passes 13, 14, 16 or 19.
On the Pythagorean table the same name gives a Destiny of 11, a Soul Urge of 7 and a Personality of 4, as the rules document's own worked example shows. Two tables, one name, two different sets of numbers - the calculator's first answer makes this point for the sample; here it is for a second name, with every letter visible.
Y and W: when a consonant counts as a vowel
The course notes give Y and W positional rules, which the engine applies word by word: Y is a vowel only when it starts a word or is the word's only letter, and W is a vowel only when it stands next to one of A, E, I, O or U in the same word. The Pythagorean profile has no such rules and always treats both as consonants. Two names run for this page show the rules at work.
| Name | Letters counted as vowels | Vowel total | Soul Urge | Personality |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yash Wadhwa | Y (starts the word) and A; W (next to A), A, W (next to A), A | 2 + 14 = 16 | 7, via 16 | 8 |
| Wendy Bradshaw | W (next to E), E; A, A, W (next to A) | 6+5 + 1+1+6 = 19 | 1, via 19 | 8 |
Yash Wadhwa is worth following. Both Ws in Wadhwa sit beside an A, so both count as vowels at 6 each, and the Y of Yash counts because it starts the word. The vowel total is 16 - one of the four Karmic Debt numbers - so this name's Soul Urge carries a 16 flag before it reduces to 7. Had Y and W been consonants, as on the Pythagorean page, the vowels would total only 3 and no flag would arise. Wendy Bradshaw shows the opposite route: the Y of Wendy does not start the word, so it stays a consonant, while the W of Wendy and the W of Bradshaw both sit beside vowels. With the two As of Bradshaw, its vowels total exactly 19, another debt number, so this Soul Urge is flagged with 19 before it reduces through 10 to 1. Count the Ws as consonants and the vowels would total 7, with no flag.
Why the vowel rule matters more than it looks
Because the engine applies the rules inside each word, a W at the end of one word and a vowel at the start of the next do not count as neighbours. Spacing a name differently - writing a surname as one word or two - can therefore move a letter between the Soul Urge and the Personality. The calculator reads the name exactly as typed.
One letter of spelling, several numbers
The calculator's limits warn that spelling changes results. To see how far one letter reaches, the engine was run on Aarav Kapoor and on Arav Kapoor - the same name with one A fewer.
| Number | Aarav Kapoor | Arav Kapoor |
|---|---|---|
| Chaldean whole-name total | 38 | 37 |
| Soul Urge | 9 | 8 |
| Personality | 2 | 2 |
| Purpose Number (in Goal Power) | 11 | 1 |
| Name Number (in Maturity) | 2 | 1 |
| Pythagorean Destiny (Numerology Profile) | 11 | 1 |
| Count of 1s for Soul Qualities | 4 | 3 |
Dropping a single A moves the Soul Urge, removes a master Purpose Number, changes the Name Number inside Maturity, and turns a Pythagorean master Destiny into a 1. Only the Personality survives, because the A is a vowel. With the same birth date, the Maturity number would fall from 8 to 7 and Goal Power from 8 to 7. This is why the engine's notes describe the input as the full birth name and why the calculator says it reads the spelling entered: these numbers are a function of the spelling, not of the person.
It is also why the app does not transliterate a name written in Devanagari. The engine comment is explicit that choosing a Latin spelling for someone would choose their numbers for them, since spellings like Aarav and Arav differ; a name with no Latin letters returns no name numbers and says why, and a name that mixes scripts is read from its Latin letters with the count of letters left out reported alongside. The privacy page sets out how this app handles the personal details you enter.
Five people, five Chaldean profiles
The names below are illustrative pairings of a name and a birth date that appear across this site's numerology pages; the numbers are the engine's.
| Name and birth date | Soul Urge | Personality | Attitude | Maturity | Goal Power (Purpose) | Karmic Debt flags |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Priya Sharma, 14 Aug 1994 (sample) | 4 | 7 | 22 | 2 | 2 (11) | Basic/Psychic 14 |
| Aarav Kapoor, 19 Jul 1996 | 9 | 2 | 8 | 8 | 8 (11) | Basic/Psychic 19 |
| Meera Iyer, 1 Nov 1990 | 8 | 9 | 3 | 3 | 3 (8) | none |
| Rohan Mehta, 1 Apr 1988 | 5 | 7 | 5 | 7 | 7 (3) | Soul Urge 14 |
| Kavya Nair, 1 Feb 1997 | 4 | 7 | 3 | 4 | 4 (2) | Personality 16 |
The table shows each source of a Karmic Debt flag in turn. The sample and Aarav are flagged through the birth day itself, the 14th and the 19th. Rohan Mehta's vowels total 14 exactly, so the Soul Urge is flagged. Kavya Nair's consonants total 16, so the Personality is. Meera Iyer, born on the 1st, with no total passing a debt number, has no flag. Note too that Kavya Nair's Life Path is the master 11, yet her Maturity and Goal Power both use it as 2, because the source gives meanings for 1 to 9 only.
The readings, number by number, in brief
The calculator returns the full source paragraph for each of your numbers. To see how the four main readings differ in what they describe, the table below paraphrases each source's theme for every number in a few words. Soul Urge describes what a person inwardly wants, Personality how others see them, Maturity what the later years bring forward, and Goal Power the opportunity the second half of life offers. The first three follow the Life With Number Magick course notes; Goal Power follows Numerology Made Easy.
| Number | Soul Urge (inner want) | Personality (as seen) | Maturity (later years) | Goal Power (opportunity) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Independence; recognition; control of one's own course | Ambitious, strong-willed; can seem egotistical | More need for independence and recognition | Leadership; pioneering new ideas |
| 2 | Peace and harmony; bringing people together | Fair, trustworthy, approachable; can seem indecisive | More cooperation, tact and tolerance | Arbiter, adviser, consultant; the arts |
| 3 | To entertain and express oneself | Articulate storyteller; optimistic; may exaggerate | More outgoing; writing, acting or music | Self-expression: speaking, writing, performing |
| 4 | System and order; skill with the hands | Stable, organised, logical; can seem rigid | More practical, organised and achievement-minded | Laying foundations through discipline |
| 5 | Adventure, travel, variety; freedom from convention | Energetic, sociable, passionate; changeable | A busier, more adventurous later life | Freedom and movement; communications |
| 6 | Home and family; being valued; beauty | Warm, magnetic, a peacemaker | More involvement in family and community | Service to family and community; teaching |
| 7 | Understanding; quiet introspection | Observant, private, a deep thinker | More reading, reflection and privacy | Intellectual and spiritual pursuits |
| 8 | Power and wealth; challenge | Persistent, resourceful, money-minded | More focus on security and assets | Authority, judgement and direction |
| 9 | Service to others or a cause | Charming, articulate, inspiring | More interest in public welfare and the arts | Humanitarian and universal pursuits |
| 11 | Sharing spiritual insight; healing | Intuitive, empathetic, quietly shy | Not given - Maturity is 1 to 9 only | Public platforms; inspiration |
| 22 | Reaching great heights; bettering others | Creative yet deeply practical | Not given | Large-scale building; international work |
Two features of the table follow from the engine rather than the books. Maturity is always a single digit, because the engine cuts both of its inputs to one digit first, so its 11 and 22 rows are empty by design. And none of the four tables has an entry for 33. A Soul Urge or Personality total that stops at 33 - which is possible, since the engine keeps all three masters when reducing - would come back with its number but no meaning text, rather than with text borrowed from 6.
The books describe the same numbers in other roles too. The nine number pages - the Number 1 page through to the Number 9 page - gather what each source in this app says about a number as a Mulank, a Bhagyank, a personal year and a name number, each attributed separately.
What each Soul Quality flag says
Numerology Made Easy's Soul Quality paragraphs are written as lessons left over from the past, and the engine returns them as written. In brief: a missing 1 is read as a lack of resolve and of belief in one's own power; 2 as impatience with detail and with other people's timing; 3 as reluctance to promote or express oneself; 4 as avoiding steady, disciplined work; 5 as avoiding new experience and change; 6 as avoiding responsibility and service; 7 as not training the mind to examine causes; and 8 as timidity or carelessness with money. Each paragraph then describes the kind of situation the book says will teach the lesson. These are one book's framings, attached by a letter count, and the app does not present them as observations about anyone.
The four Karmic Debt numbers in the course notes
When a flag appears, the calculator returns the course notes' explanation and a short list of what the notes call keys to work on. Paraphrased, the four read as follows.
| Debt number | The notes' theme, paraphrased | Keys the notes give, paraphrased |
|---|---|---|
| 13 | Hard work, repeated obstacles and the temptation to give up midway | Focus on one goal at a time; honesty over shortcuts; a strict routine; no procrastination |
| 14 | Constant change, and a risk of overindulgence | Moderation; emotional steadiness; focus; commitment; avoiding needless spending |
| 16 | The old breaking down so the new can form; plans meeting a larger will | Letting go of ego; acceptance; making amends for hurts caused |
| 19 | Learning independence and the right use of power; refusing help | Connecting with others; developing sensitivity to them |
Two things in that table need care. The keys are behavioural, and the app presents them as the source's text rather than as a prescription; the calculator's own answer is clear that a flag is not a forecast. And the 19 entry rests on a judgement. The engine comment records that the course notes' slide headed Karmic Debt 19 carries a row still labelled 16, with text unlike the separate 16 slide. The engine uses that slide's text for 19, because it follows the 13, 14, 16 sequence and its theme does not match 16's, but it calls this its best-effort reading of an inconsistently labelled source. The calculator's limits mention this; the table shows what it affects.
The Life Path half of the check reads the unreduced birth-date total, which the Life Path calculator explains; across every date from 1950 to 2010 that total hit a debt number about once in eighteen dates. The birth-day half is simpler: anyone born on the 13th, 14th, 16th or 19th is flagged, whatever their name.
Soul Qualities: what the count actually checks
The Soul Qualities, from William Mykian's Numerology Made Easy, are the one reading here that counts letters rather than adding them. Each letter of the name is converted to its Chaldean value, and the engine counts how many letters fall on each value from 1 to 8. The odd values, 1, 3, 5 and 7, need at least three letters each; the even values, 2, 4, 6 and 8, need at least one. A value below its threshold is flagged as a quality to develop, with the book's paragraph.
The thresholds interact with the uneven table described above. Value 7 belongs to only two letters, O and Z, so a name needs three Os or Zs between them to clear it, and all five names in the table above were flagged for 7. Value 3 needs three of C, G, L and S, and all five were flagged for 3 as well. Value 1 has the most letters, five including the common A and I, though even it can fall short: Rohan Mehta has only two. So the flags say as much about which letters a language's names tend to use as about any one name.
The engine records that the book's own worked example, William Phillip Mike, reproduces all eight of the book's stated counts exactly on this table. Run again for this page, it gave six letters worth 1, one worth 2, four worth 3, two worth 4, two worth 5, one worth 6, none worth 7 and two worth 8 - so 5 and 7 fall below their thresholds. The same book's Goal Power example, the same name with a birth date of 21 September 1938, gives a Purpose Number of 6 and a Goal Power of 3, which the engine also reproduces.
Goal Power and the compound numbers behind it
Goal Power - which Numerology Made Easy also calls the Final Opportunity Number and treats as a second-half-of-life number - adds the one-digit Life Path to the Purpose Number before reducing. The engine keeps that raw sum and, when it falls between 10 and 54, attaches the book's paragraph for that compound number as well. For Aarav Kapoor the raw sum is 17, which the book describes as the strongest compound with an 8 root, combining the originality of 1 with the analytical, proof-seeking side of 7. For the sample, Priya Sharma, it is 20, which the book reads as a heightened 2: receptive, diplomatic, a peacemaker.
For Rohan Mehta and Kavya Nair the raw sums are 7 and 4, below 10, so no compound paragraph is attached; the engine returns nothing rather than reaching for the nearest entry. The same book's compound paragraphs are also attached to the unreduced Life Path total, as the Life Path page describes.
Where the course notes contradict themselves
The engine comments record three places where the Life With Number Magick slides are internally inconsistent, and each decision the engine took. They are worth knowing because each touches a number this calculator returns.
- The Personality calculation slide labels its result 'Soul Urge Number' and shows a total that does not match the values on the slide. The engine follows the slide's plainly stated rule - vowels for Soul Urge, consonants for Personality - and checks itself against the other worked example, whose vowel-only total of 5 it reproduces.
- The Attitude slides reduce their one worked example, 8 plus 3 making 11, all the way to 2, yet the meanings section gives 11/2 and 22/4 their own fuller entries. The engine keeps the masters so that those entries can be reached. That is why the sample's Attitude shows as 22, from 8 plus 14.
- The Karmic Debt 19 slide carries a 16 label, as described above.
None of these is hidden from a reader of the calculator; its limits name the Attitude and Karmic Debt choices. Listing all three here is the point: where a source is unclear, the engine picks the reading that the source's own rules or text best support, records the choice in the code, and says so on the page.
The Attitude Number, confirmed by a second book
The Attitude Number is the only number on this page that needs no name: the birth month plus the birth day, reduced with masters kept. The engine notes that Sally Faubion's Motivational Numerology gives the same formula independently, so it was not implemented twice. Because it uses only the month and day, it is shared by everyone born on the same date in any year, and it can never involve a name's spelling. For the five people above, the Attitude numbers 22, 8, 3, 5 and 3 come from 8 plus 14, 7 plus 19, 11 plus 1, 4 plus 1 and 2 plus 1.
Attitude numbers across one calendar year
Because the Attitude Number depends only on the month and day, its distribution can be counted over a single year. Every day of 2024, a leap year, was run through the engine for this page. The results show the effect of keeping masters: a plain 2 came up on only 13 days and a plain 4 on 30, while 11 took 28 days and 22 took 12.
| Attitude | Days in 2024 | Attitude | Days in 2024 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 39 | 7 | 41 |
| 2 | 13 | 8 | 39 |
| 3 | 42 | 9 | 40 |
| 4 | 30 | 11 | 28 |
| 5 | 42 | 22 | 12 |
| 6 | 30 | 33 | 10 |
The last cell needs a word. A month and day that add to exactly 33 - 30 March, 29 April, 28 May, 27 June, 26 July, 25 August, 24 September, 23 October, 22 November and 21 December - keep 33 as a master, because the engine's reduction keeps all three masters. But the course notes give Attitude texts for 1 to 9, 11 and 22 only, so for those ten birthdays the calculator returns an Attitude of 33 with no meaning beside it. That is the engine declining to borrow the text for 6, consistent with how it treats every gap in a source; it is noted here so that a reader born on one of those days knows the empty reading is expected.
Using these numbers alongside the rest of the reading
The Chaldean profile is one of several systems the Numerology feature brings together, and its numbers are not meant to agree with the Pythagorean ones; they come from a different table and a different course. When comparing two people's names, the Compatibility feature uses its own sources and should be read on its own terms. And for the planets associated with each number, the number pages - the Number 7 page among them, which covers the Chaldean meanings for 7 - set out what each book in this app says.
- Why is no letter worth 9 on this table?
- The Chaldean table as the course notes, Advanced Vedic Numerology and Numerology Made Easy all print it leaves 9 unused; the engine comment notes the three tables match letter for letter. A name's total can still reduce to 9, but no single letter contributes one.
- Does Y count as a vowel in my name?
- Only where it starts a word or is the whole word. In Yash it does; in Wendy it does not. W counts as a vowel only beside A, E, I, O or U in the same word.
- Should I enter my name with or without a middle name?
- The engine reads whatever you type, and the course notes describe the full birth name. Adding or dropping a word changes the totals, as the one-letter comparison above shows, so for a like-for-like reading use the same form each time.
- Why is my Soul Urge flagged when my birth day is not a debt number?
- The check covers five totals, not just the birth day. If your vowel total equals 13, 14, 16 or 19, or passes through one while reducing, the Soul Urge is flagged. Rohan Mehta's vowels total 14 exactly, for example.
- How common is a Karmic Debt flag from the birth day alone?
- Four days of every month - the 13th, 14th, 16th and 19th - are debt numbers, so about one birth in eight is flagged through the Basic/Psychic Number whatever the name. Across every date from 1950 to 2010 the share was 13.1 per cent.
- Why is 7 so often flagged in Soul Qualities?
- Only two letters, O and Z, are worth 7, and the book's threshold for odd values is three letters. Many names have fewer than three Os and no Z. The book's own example, William Phillip Mike, is flagged for 7 for the same reason.
- Can I see my Pythagorean name numbers here?
- No; they are on the Numerology Profile, which uses the alphabet-order table. The two sets are not converted into each other.
- Does the app suggest a better spelling?
- Not on this calculator. It reads the name as entered and reports the numbers. It does not rank names or recommend a change.
Nothing you enter here is saved. The calculators that run without an account store nothing at all.
