In short
A personal month is your personal year number plus the number of the calendar month, reduced to a single digit from 1 to 9. This app changes it on the 1st of each month, on the reader's own calendar. Metaphysical Secrets disagrees on the boundary: it starts each personal month on the day of the month you were born.
What the term means
A personal month is the monthly step inside a personal year. Take the personal year number, add the month (January 1, through December 12), and reduce. Within one year the twelve months step through the digits in order, so each month's number is one more than the last, wrapping from 9 back to 1.
Where the term comes from
Numerology Made Easy (Ch.9, Section B) defines the Personal Month as the Personal Year added to the Universal Month, which is simply the calendar month number. Motivational Numerology (Ch.8) uses the same addition and works 6 + 8 = 14, then 5. Metaphysical Secrets (Ch.8) differs twice: it runs each personal month from your day of birth to the same day the next month, "not the first and last of the month", and it lists eleven Personal Month numbers, keeping 11 and 22.
How this app computes it
- The engine adds the personal year (already a single digit) to the calendar month and reduces the result to 1 to 9.
- It follows the calendar month, so it changes on the 1st, and it reduces master numbers: a total of 11 is shown as 2.
- The month is read on the reader's calendar, in India Standard Time when no time zone is known, so the 1st begins at local midnight.
- It is the middle link of the chain: the personal day is built on top of it.
A small illustration
For a birth on 11 March 1994, the personal year in 2026 is 6. In August the engine adds 8: 6 + 8 = 14, and 1 + 4 = 5. Faubion's own example, a 6 June birth in 2001, also has personal year 6, and the engine's run of her chain gives the same August personal month of 5.
