Number 2 is the Moon's number in every numerology book this app draws on, and it is the number those books describe most consistently: the mediator, the partner, the person who works best beside someone. What they do not make obvious is that 'being a 2' covers four separate calculations. Your Mulank is 2 if you were born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th or 29th. Your Bhagyank is 2 if your whole birth date sums to it, which, as shown below, happens far less often than people assume. You may be in a Personal Year 2. And the digit 2 may sit, once or many times, in your birth-date grid. This page takes them one at a time. To see which apply to you, run the Life Path calculator for the two birth numbers and the Personal Year calculator for the year.
What this page is and is not
It reports what named numerology books say and how this app's code applies them. Numerology has no single canon; the books below come from different decades and traditions and contradict each other in places. Where they do, both readings are given. Nothing here predicts what will happen to you. Lines the books write about mood or the body are reported as what the book says and are not medical advice.
Why 2 belongs to the Moon
Advanced Vedic Numerology's 'Number and Planet connection' list gives 1 to the Sun and 2 to the Moon. Vedic Numerology Basic prints 'Number 2 - Moon'. Erik Tao's Metaphysical Secrets of Practical Numerology, a Western book, gives number two to the Moon as ruler of Cancer and lists its birthdays as the 29th, 20th, 11th and 2nd. The 1930s pamphlet The Power of Numbers, signed 'Numero', opens its Chapter IV with the same assignment. The Vedic and Western books part company at 4 and 7, but not here, and this app's NUMBER_TRAITS table names the Moon as ruler of both 2 and 11.
The Professional Course Notes give the reasoning in one slide. After the 1, the self, comes the recognition of duality: whatever exists has an equal and opposite born with it. The slide lists the pairs, day and night, masculine and feminine, profit and loss, win and defeat, full moon and new moon, and names the Moon as the planet of the number. That is why every source reads the 2 in terms of relationship and never in isolation. The Moon's role in a birth chart is covered on the Moon in Vedic astrology page. The two systems share a symbol and nothing else: a numerology 2 is computed from calendar digits and says nothing about where your Moon is placed.
Four ways a 2 can appear in your numbers
| Where the 2 sits | How it is calculated | What the sources say it describes | Does it change? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mulank (birth or psychic number) | Day of the month only, reduced to one digit | Your nature | Never |
| Bhagyank (destiny number, Life Path) | Every digit of the full birth date, summed and reduced, master numbers kept | What happens to you | Never |
| Personal Year | Birth day and month plus the current year | The theme of one twelve-month period | Every year |
| Grid digit | How many times the digit 2 is written in the birth date | A strength, an excess or a gap, depending on the count | Never |
Advanced Vedic Numerology says the Moolank is our nature while the Destiny Number is what is happening with us. The full comparison, including why 'Life Path' is the Western name for the Bhagyank, is on the Mulank, Bhagyank and Life Path page and is not repeated here. What is particular to the 2 is that the two calculations treat the number 11 differently, and that changes who counts as a 2.
The 11 question: when a 2 is not shown as a 2
This app's reduction function, reduceToDigit, keeps the master numbers 11, 22 and 33 unless told otherwise. The rules doc gives the two cases side by side: reduceToDigit(29) returns 11, and reduceToDigit(29, false) returns 2. The Mulank is always computed the second way, with masters collapsed. The Bhagyank is computed the first way, with masters kept. The consequences are not symmetrical.
- For the Mulank, 11 always becomes 2. A person born on the 11th or the 29th has Mulank 2, exactly like someone born on the 2nd or the 20th.
- For the Bhagyank, 11 stays 11. A birth date whose digits total 11, 29, 38 or 47 is reported as Bhagyank 11, not 2.
- Only a raw total of exactly 20 produces a plain Bhagyank 2. When the engine was run over every date from 1930 to 2026, 20 was the only total that did, and a total of 29 alone was twice as common.
So in this app most people whose birth date 'adds up to 2' will see 11 on the screen, titled The Visionary, and a smaller group will see 2, The Diplomat. An example of the smaller group is 9 August 2001: the digits 9, 8, 2, 0, 0, 1 add to 20, and 20 reduces to 2. A calculator that collapses every master will call both groups a 2, which is one reason your number can differ between sources without either being miscalculated.
Advanced Vedic Numerology supports both habits, which is why the app keeps both. Its Destiny Number example is a full reduction with no master kept. Its Master Numbers page says that people on a master number find it hard to handle, carry a degree of nervous tension, rarely succeed early, and 'start off reflecting more of the potential of a 2, 4 and 6' before the master number's character shows, usually later in life. It calls the 11 the Master Idealist: intuitive, caring, full of ideas that are not always practical, more dreamer than doer. Numerology Made Easy describes the 11 as the 2 raised in force.
Where the app deliberately reads 11 as 2
Two tables from Advanced Vedic Numerology, the 81 Combinations grid and the punch lines, have no row for 11. For those two lookups only, the engine's tableDigit reads a Bhagyank 11 as 2 and reports that it did so. Everywhere else your Bhagyank keeps its 11.
Mulank 2: born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th or 29th
The rule is the day of the month alone, added down to one digit: 2 stays 2, 11 gives 2, 20 gives 2, 29 gives 11 and then 2. Advanced Vedic Numerology lists exactly these four dates for Moolank 2 and Tao lists the same four under the Moon. The month and year play no part.
What the books say about the nature of a 2
Advanced Vedic Numerology gives a short keyword list for the number, tactful, peacemaker, balance, sensitive, influential, cooperative, inclusive, intuitive, supportive, empathetic and protective, and then two longer lists for Moolank 2. 'At your best' adds team player, mediator, unbiased, diplomatic, loyal, nurturing, flexible and graceful. 'At your worst' reads: indecisive, passive, unassertive, fearful of change, conflict-averse, over-thinker, shy, uncertain, low self-esteem, dependent, appeasing. One word, sensitive, appears in both lists: the same capacity is the asset and the liability.
Vedic Numerology Basic separates the halves too, and this app stores them in BASIC_NUMBER_PLANET_TRAITS. The Moon's positive column includes emotional, caring, empath, intuitive, expressive, friendly, charming, strong memory, creative, healer and supportive. The negative column includes moody, over-attachment, indecisiveness, insecurity, submissive, gossiping and lack of motivation, along with the entry 'need a push'. The book does not say a 2 lacks ability; it says a 2 often waits to be started.
Numero's Chapter IV is the most candid portrait. Two stands for peace over force and the heart over the mind. Its people will not reach the heights of number one, the pamphlet says, but play a very useful part: they help their neighbours before themselves, so others often gain where they should have. Friends take their advice and use it to advantage, while the 2 seems unable to use their own ideas to the same extent, which the author connects with reticence. They are described as unselfish, home-centred and ideal peacemakers. The one glaring fault named is indolence: a peaceful temperament that lets matters slide until tomorrow. The chapter ends with a caveat that applies to every list here: environment brings some traits forward and suppresses others.
Tao adds a note that cuts against the soft picture. His Western keywords for number two include unstoppable and powerful beside quiet, diplomatic and gentle persuasion, and his Eastern keywords are determination and luck. His negatives are low self-esteem, dramatic and jealous. This app's own summary, from NUMBER_TRAITS, is titled 'The Diplomat': you read a room before you read a situation, and that instinct is reliable.
The four birthdays are not read identically
| Born on the | What Advanced Vedic Numerology says (paraphrased) | Compound note |
|---|---|---|
| 2nd | Friendly, loving, helpful, idealistic, emotional and intuitive, occasionally moody. Like people but are often nervous in large groups. Can become downhearted and want reassurance. Prefer partnership to working alone. | No compound; the digit stands alone. |
| 11th | Great ideas that are seldom carried through. Highly intuitive and extremely capable, but a nervous, high-strung temperament makes goals harder, and emotions move quickly between extremes. Able to inspire others. | Numerology Made Easy: the number of the seer, visionary and dreamer. |
| 20th | Friendly, articulate and easy to get along with. Prefer quiet lives and avoid bustle. Often express themselves well in writing. Can be moody and need the support of close friends and family. | Numerology Made Easy: the zero opens up the 2; a natural peacemaker, called the most fortunate of the 2s. |
| 29th | Carry the 2, the 9 and the potential of the 11. Lives that run either up or down. Their potential is obvious to everyone except themselves. Inspired dreamers who find it hard to make the vision real. | Numerology Made Easy: the personal 2 leading in the impersonal field of the 9, with the 11 inside it. |
Two of the four birthdays, the 11th and the 29th, pass through 11 on the way to 2, and the book describes both in the language it uses for master numbers: capable, intuitive, strung tight, and slow to convert ideas into results. The 2nd and the 20th are described more quietly. None of the four dates passes through 13, 14, 16 or 19, so a Mulank 2 never carries the Karmic Debt flag.
Bhagyank 2: when the whole birth date sums to 2
The 'Destiny Number 2' passage in Advanced Vedic Numerology describes a position more than a personality. People with this destiny number put others at ease, are gracious hosts, make friends easily and prefer a permanent relationship to being alone. They are not much concerned with status or material needs. As a result, the book says, they often end up in the number two position instead of the number one: the power behind the throne. They do not always get the recognition they should, and are usually content knowing the job was done well.
The passage then describes how this goes wrong, and it is not what most readers expect. The failure is not staying second. It is the 2 who tries desperately to lead, preferring to be mediocre in the first position over outstanding in the second. Such people may get what they aimed for, the book says, but will not feel comfortable or happy there. It is a specific, checkable claim about where satisfaction lies.
Vedic Numerology Basic compresses the number into an archetype it calls 'The Peacemaker': diplomatic, sensitive, cooperative and nurturing; harmonious in marriage and attentive to emotional connection, but sometimes too accommodating, which leads to suppressed feelings. The Numerology Profile calculator shows which of 2 or 11 your date produces, together with the raw total it came from.
Your Mulank and Bhagyank together
Advanced Vedic Numerology rates every Mulank and Bhagyank pair in a nine-by-nine table, the 81 Combinations, and attaches short 'punch lines' to some pairs. This app transcribes both and serves them through the 81 Combinations calculator. The cells involving 2 are below.
| Other number | Mulank 2 with that Bhagyank | That Mulank with Bhagyank 2 | Punch line, if the book gives one |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Very Good | Average | None |
| 2 | Average | Average | None |
| 3 | Average | Average | None |
| 4 | Bad | Bad | Strain in marriage, mood swings, confusion and low concentration; results only after hard work |
| 5 | Average | Average | None |
| 6 | Bad | Bad | Trouble in marriage and fidelity |
| 7 | Average | Average | None |
| 8 | Very Bad | Very Bad | Emotional strain, much work for little result, a difficult relation with the mother; finances said to steady after 40 |
| 9 | Bad | Average | "Marriage problem." |
Four things stand out. First, the only Very Good cell is Mulank 2 with Bhagyank 1, the rules doc's own example date of 11 March 1994, and the pairing is on the book's short 'best combinations' list in both directions. The reverse, Mulank 1 with Bhagyank 2, is printed Average in the grid, so the book's list and its grid disagree and the app keeps both as printed. Second, 2 with 2 is only Average. Third, nothing in the row is rated Good: a 2 is either very well placed with a 1, or average, or marked down. Fourth, the pairings with 8 and with 6 are on the book's 'bad combinations' list. The punch line's mention of the mother is the book's symbol for the Moon, as the father stands for the Sun on the number 1 page. These are ratings of two numbers in one book, not a verdict on a marriage or a parent.
The digit 2 in your birth-date grid
The grid counts how often each digit from 1 to 9 is written in the birth date, and it is a separate question from the Mulank. The 11 March 1994 example makes the point sharply. That person's Mulank is 2, but the digits of the date are 1, 1, 3, 1, 9, 9 and 4. There is no 2 anywhere, so this app's generateLoShuGrid returns a count of zero for it: a Mulank 2 with a missing 2. The rules doc records this as correct behaviour. The reverse is now the common case: everyone born from 2000 onward has at least one 2 from the year, and anyone born in the 2020s has at least two. The Lo Shu Grid calculator shows your counts.
A missing 2
Advanced Vedic Numerology's 'Impact of missing no. 2' reads the gap as a shortage of what the number stands for. Its points are: a lack of sensitivity and connection, difficulty with ready cash, disappointment in love and in relationships, few relatives who can be fully trusted, and a mind that is not settled or at peace. The same book says everyone has at least two numbers missing, so a gap is the ordinary condition. How the app treats missing digits generally is on the Lo Shu missing numbers page.
A repeated 2: two books, two readings
| Count of 2s | Tao, Metaphysical Secrets | Advanced Vedic Numerology |
|---|---|---|
| One | Sensitive | Present; no special note |
| Two | Bright | Present; no special note |
| Three | Very sensitive | "Multiple 2": read as an afflicted Moon, with too much emotion, mood swings, loneliness and nervousness |
| Four | Loners | Same as three; the book counts any number present more than twice as multiple |
Here, unlike with the 1, the two books broadly agree. Both treat one or two 2s as the workable range, and both describe a pile of them as sensitivity turned in on itself; Tao's 'loners' and the Vedic book's 'loneliness' are the same observation. The Vedic entry also uses the word depression. That is the book's planetary shorthand for an overloaded Moon, not a diagnosis, and a digit count cannot tell anyone anything about their mental health. A date such as 22 February 2022 puts six 2s in one grid.
Lines and shapes that pass through the 2
The Vedic Grid in Advanced Vedic Numerology places the digits 3-1-9, 6-7-5, 2-8-4 and reads combinations by which cells are filled. The 2 sits in the bottom left corner. The Vedic Grid calculator runs every combination; these are the ones that need a 2, as the engine transcribes them.
- The 3-6-2 arrow (Jupiter, Venus, Moon): good fortune after marriage, success through higher education, an interest in art, music and storytelling, suited to teaching or counselling, with a peaceful nature.
- The 2-8-4 arrow (Moon, Saturn, Rahu): success only after sustained hard work, often not before the mid-thirties.
- The 2-8 conjunction: the book's hardest pairing for the 2, read as anxiety and unsteady mood that intensifies as the 2 repeats, with finances said to improve after 40.
- The 1-2 aspect, called Sun aspects Moon: a friendly, sensitive nature and relationships that work for both sides.
- The (3,2,5) trine: a sharp mind and financial success; the (1,2,4) trine: disturbance in education and an uneven career.
The pattern repeats the pairing table. The 2 is read well beside 1 and 3, and badly beside 8 and 4. The Western square Tao uses is a different diagram, in which the 2 always sits in the middle left square. There the line 1-2-3 is the 'Planner', good at organising and inclined to overthink, and the line 2-5-8 is 'Emotions' when full and 'Sensitivity', meaning easily hurt, when all three cells are empty.
Personal Year 2: the one that has dates
A Personal Year is the only 2 on this page that arrives and leaves. This app computes it two ways, because Advanced Vedic Numerology gives two methods, and the Personal Year calculator returns both. The background is on the Personal Year number page; what follows is specific to the year numbered 2.
The Western method
Birth day plus birth month plus the current calendar year, reduced to one digit. Master numbers are always collapsed here, so there is no Personal Year 11 in this app. For the 11 March 1994 birth, the working for 2031 is 11 + 3 + 2031 = 2045, then 11, then 2. That person's Personal Year 2 is the calendar year 2031; the previous one was 2022 and the next is 2040. Under this method a 2 year returns every nine years and always follows a 1 year.
The Vedic method
Mulank plus birth month plus the last two digits of the year plus the number of the weekday on which the birthday falls that year, reduced to one digit. The weekday numbers are planetary: Sunday 1, Monday 2, Tuesday 9, Wednesday 5, Thursday 3, Friday 6, Saturday 8. The year runs from birthday to birthday. For the same birth, this app's personalYearVedic returns 4, 3, 9, 8, 5, 8, 1, 9, 4, 8 and 2 for the years beginning on the birthdays of 2024 to 2034. The 2 arrives in 2034: Mulank 2, month 3, year 34 and a Saturday birthday worth 8 make 47, then 11, then 2. That Vedic Personal Year 2 runs from 11 March 2034 to 11 March 2035.
Same person, two different 2 years
In this example the Western method puts the 2 year in 2031 and the Vedic method puts it in 2034-35. In the Vedic sequence the 2 does not follow the 1 year, which fell in 2030, so the 'build on what you began last year' reading belongs to the Western cycle only. The calculator shows both so you can tell which one an article or an astrologer is using.
What a 2 year is read as
The sources agree closely. Numerology Made Easy says that in a number 1 year you form an idea and begin, and in a number 2 year you build on it, develop partners and work in cooperation. The Professional Course Notes title the year 'Patient Waiting' and give its keyword as consolidation of what was started in year 1: be contemplative, develop personal contacts, make your own mind clear and trust intuition. Sally Faubion's Motivational Numerology, carried in this app's PERSONAL_CYCLE_TEXT, puts the highlight on looking after yourself and getting past impatience, sensitivity and irritability, with the emphasis on slowing down. This app's own line, from PERSONAL_YEAR_MEANING, is: 'A patience year. Partnerships and timing matter more than force.'
None of these calls a 2 year unlucky or lucky. They describe the second step of a nine-step cycle and make one modest, testable claim: efforts to force a result tend to go less well in this year than efforts made with or through other people. You can check that against your own last 2 year.
Months and days numbered 2
Under the Western method the Personal Month is the Personal Year plus the calendar month, reduced. In a Personal Year 2 that gives 3 for January, 9 for July, 1 for August, and 2 again in September and so a doubled 2 month. In any year, a Personal Day 2 is treated by this app's daily layer as a 'patience' day. Its tables class a 2 day as a hold day, not a push day; the guidance is to let someone else move first and then respond, and its answer on pressing a decision that day is no. The daily reading is described on the numerology feature page.
Number 2 in the numerology dasha
Advanced Vedic Numerology has its own period system, separate from the astrological Vimshottari dasha described on the Moon Mahadasha page. Nine lords run in number order, each for as many years as its number: Sun 1, Moon 2, Jupiter 3, Rahu 4, Mercury 5, Venus 6, Ketu 7, Saturn 8, Mars 9. The 45-year cycle then repeats. The sequence starts at the person's Mulank with a full first period from the day of birth. The Numerology Dasha calculator builds the timeline with every boundary on a birthday.
The timeline for a Mulank 2
| Mahadasha lord | Number | Years | Age span | For an 11 March 1994 birth |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moon | 2 | 2 | 0 to 2 | 1994 to 1996 |
| Jupiter | 3 | 3 | 2 to 5 | 1996 to 1999 |
| Rahu | 4 | 4 | 5 to 9 | 1999 to 2003 |
| Mercury | 5 | 5 | 9 to 14 | 2003 to 2008 |
| Venus | 6 | 6 | 14 to 20 | 2008 to 2014 |
| Ketu | 7 | 7 | 20 to 27 | 2014 to 2021 |
| Saturn | 8 | 8 | 27 to 35 | 2021 to 2029 |
| Mars | 9 | 9 | 35 to 44 | 2029 to 2038 |
| Sun | 1 | 1 | 44 to 45 | 2038 to 2039 |
| Moon again | 2 | 2 | 45 to 47 | 2039 to 2041 |
A Mulank 2 spends their own number's period as an infant and does not meet it again until 45. The years from 27 to 35 belong to Saturn, the number the same book rates Very Bad against a 2 and lists as its anti-combination. The book draws no conclusion from that in its dasha chapter, so this page does not either.
Sub-periods, running age and Gochar
Each Mahadasha divides into nine Antardashas in the same order, starting from its own lord, in proportion to the same year table. The Moon's share is two parts in 45. In the 1994 example the engine puts the Moon sub-period of the Moon Mahadasha from 11 March to 12 April 1994. Inside a Personal Year the same division is called the Pratyantar Dasha and starts from the lord of the year's number. A Vedic Personal Year 2 therefore opens with the Moon, nominally for 16 days, and runs Jupiter 24, Rahu 32, Mercury 40, Venus 48, Ketu 56, Saturn 64, Mars 72 and the Sun 8. The book's figures total 360, and this app stretches each share in proportion to fill the real birthday-to-birthday year.
The book adds the running age, the year of life you are currently in, and the Gochar, which divides the running age by nine and uses the remainder to count along a wheel of 1 to 9 that starts at the Mulank. For a Mulank 2 the wheel starts at 2, so a remainder of 1 gives 2: the engine's computeGochar returns 2 at running ages 1, 10, 19, 28 and every nine years after. The book's separate table of favourable years of life for Moolank 2 lists running ages 2, 11, 20, 29, 38, 47, 56, 65, 74 and 83, the ages that themselves reduce to 2, and that is what favourableYearsByAge returns. For a Mulank 1 the two lists coincide. For a Mulank 2 they are a year apart. The app reports each under its own name.
Who a 2 is said to get on with
There are five compatibility tables for number 2 in this app's sources, and they disagree more than for any neighbouring number. The app keeps each under its own name. Its Mulank comparison in the Love Compatibility calculator and on the compatibility feature reads the first row.
| Table | Good with 2 | Neutral | Poor with 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| App harmony table (NUMEROLOGY_HARMONY) | 2, 4, 6, 8 | Not stated | Not stated |
| Advanced Vedic Numerology, Number Compatibility | 1, 3, 9 | 7 | 4, 5, 6, 8 |
| Advanced Vedic Numerology, marriage anti-combination | Not stated | Not stated | 8 (and 2 is listed against 4) |
| Vedic Numerology Basic, graha friendship | 1, 5, 3, 2 | 6, 7 | 8, 4, 9 |
| Vedic Numerology Basic, Life Path marriage archetypes | 6, 8, 9 | Not stated | 1, 5 |
Read across the rows and almost nothing survives. The 8 is a harmonious number in the first table, an enemy in the second, the anti-combination in the third, non-friendly in the fourth and a recommended partner in the fifth. The 1 is a friend in two tables and a 'potential challenge' in the archetype table. A confident statement about who suits a 2 is therefore a statement about which table the writer opened. Only 3 and 7 are never placed on the poor side. For the neighbours, see the pages on number 1, number 3, number 4, number 6, number 7 and number 8.
Days, colours, letters and professions
| Item | This app (buildFavourables, Mulank 2) | Advanced Vedic Numerology | Numero, The Power of Numbers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Days | Monday | Monday, Sunday | - |
| Months | Not given | July, May | - |
| Numbers | 2, 4, 6, 8 | 1, 3, 2, 9 | - |
| Colours | White, silver | Off white | Best: grey, gold, azure, mauve. Worst: white, red. Medium: green, rose, indigo, blue, orange, brown, black |
| Direction and time | North-west; evening to night | Not given | - |
| Signs | Cancer, Taurus | Cancer, as a hidden 2 | - |
Two rows contradict each other outright. On numbers, the app's bundle and the Vedic book share only the 2 itself. On colours, the app and the Vedic book give white, the Moon's traditional colour, while Numero's table, which the Lucky Colours calculator uses, lists white as one of the two worst colours for a personal number of 2. Neither is evidence about what happens if you wear a colour, and this app does not prescribe colours, gems or any other remedy.
Letters depend on the alphabet table. Under the Pythagorean table the letters valued 2 are B, K and T, which the app lists as favourable alphabets for a Mulank 2. Under the Chaldean table they are B, K and R. The Name Number calculator reports where a 2 appears in a name. On work, the 'Suitable Profession' entry for 2 in Advanced Vedic Numerology lists purchasing, vendor development and supply chain, diplomacy, translation, library work, placement agencies, travel, dairy, pharmacy, nursing, human resources, homemaking and hosting. The 'Avoidable Profession' entry is one line: avoid all work of 4 and 8. The same book counts a birth on a Monday, or a Sun sign of Cancer on its 14 July to 13 August dates, as a hidden 2.
How to check all of this for your own date
- Run the Life Path calculator. It needs only the date. Note whether the Bhagyank is shown as 2 or 11.
- Count the 2s in the Lo Shu Grid and see which lines they complete in the Vedic Grid.
- Find your next 2 year under both methods with the Personal Year calculator, and your Moon period in the Numerology Dasha.
- For everything at once, use the Numerology Profile or the free numerology tool. The calculations are set out on the methodology page and the books on the sources page.
Common misreadings
- 'My date adds up to 2, so I am a Life Path 2.' In this app, only if the raw total is 20. Totals of 11, 29, 38 and 47 are shown as 11.
- 'Number 2 means weak.' Tao's list for the number includes unstoppable and powerful, and Numero's complaint is indolence, not weakness. The sources describe influence without force.
- 'A 2 should learn to lead.' Advanced Vedic Numerology says the opposite for Destiny Number 2: the unhappy 2 is the one who insists on the first position.
- 'My numerology 2 and my Moon sign must agree.' They are computed from different things; see when astrology and numerology disagree.
Questions people ask about number 2
- Which birth dates make number 2 the Mulank?
- The 2nd, 11th, 20th and 29th of any month. Advanced Vedic Numerology and Tao both list exactly these four.
- Is 11 the same as 2?
- For the Mulank, yes: a birth on the 11th or 29th is a Mulank 2. For the Bhagyank this app keeps 11 as a master number and shows it separately. The app reads 11 as 2 only for the two tables that have no master row.
- Can number 2 be both my Mulank and my Bhagyank?
- Yes, if you were born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th or 29th and the digits of the full date total exactly 20. If they total 11, 29 or 38 the app shows Mulank 2 with Bhagyank 11. Either way the 81 Combinations grid rates the pair Average.
- How often does a Personal Year 2 come round?
- Under the Western method, every nine years, always the year after a 1 year. Under the Vedic method there is no fixed interval, because the weekday of your birthday is part of the sum; in the worked example on this page the 2 appeared once in eleven years.
- Is number 2 compatible with number 8?
- It depends entirely on the table. Advanced Vedic Numerology rates the pair Very Bad in its grid, lists 8 as an enemy and names it as the marriage anti-combination. Vedic Numerology Basic's archetype table lists 8 as compatible with a Life Path 2, and this app's harmony table groups 2 and 8 together. These rate numbers, not two people.
- When does a Mulank 2 run the Moon period in the numerology dasha?
- For the first two years of life and again from age 45 to 47, because the cycle starts at the Mulank and lasts 45 years. Other Mulanks meet the two-year Moon period at a different age, from 1 for a Mulank 1 to 43 for a Mulank 3.
Life Path Number
Two numbers from one date - the Mulank from your birth day, the Bhagyank from all of it.
