One feature, in detail

Your dashboard reads today's sky against your birth chart - an energy score, a named day state, and the working behind each graha's score.

What it does

The dashboard scores your day out of ten. The score starts from the house the transiting Moon occupies relative to your ascendant, or to your Moon sign when no birth time was given. It then adjusts for your numerology Personal Day and for the lunar fortnight - waxing Shukla paksha supports starting, waning Krishna paksha supports finishing. Alongside it, the Dynamic Today Kundali Engine scores all nine grahas from figures the rest of the app already computes: each graha's Gochara verdict read from your birth Moon, whether it is retrograde today, and whether it is your running Mahadasha or Antardasha lord.

Each graha's score lists the facts it was built from, so the page can be argued with rather than believed. The day resolves to one of six named states - Steady, Opportunity, High Action, Emotional Sensitivity, Low Energy or Confusion - and to four readings, Mental, Emotional, Action and Decision clarity, each naming the grahas it is read from. Read together, they tell you whether today suits starting something, finishing something, or leaving the one-way calls for another day.

What it computes

  • Energy score out of 10 from the transiting Moon's house, Personal Day and paksha
  • Career, love, money and health from houses 10, 7, 2 and 6 - with a birth time
  • Nine per-graha day scores from Gochara, retrogression and your running Dasha
  • Mental, Emotional, Action and Decision clarity, each naming the grahas it reads
  • A why line naming Moon house, nakshatra, Personal Day, paksha and illumination

What it needs

It needs your date of birth, your birth place and your birth time; without a birth time there is no ascendant, so houses fall back to your Moon sign, the career, love, money and health rows do not appear at all, and the per-graha scores are built from fewer terms while still printing a day state.

What it does not know

It reads today's transits against your chart, which is not the same as measuring you - and the lucky window it prints is a fixed rotation keyed to the Moon's house, not a computed muhurat.

In depth

The panels above say what the dashboard shows and what it needs. This long read goes underneath them: where the idea of reading a single day comes from in the texts this app was built from, exactly how the engine turns the sky at the moment you open the page into a score, nine graha rows and a named state, how to read every block on the screen, one sample person followed through ten mornings, and what a missing birth time or a late-night visit does to the numbers. If you want the transit rules on their own first, the Gochar calculator runs them without an account.

Every number below was produced by running the code that serves the dashboard, on the sample person the calculator pages share - born 14 August 1994, 06:42 IST, Ahmedabad - mostly at 09:00 IST on 5 October 2026. It is not a real person. Where the engine does something a careful reader might not expect, this page says so rather than smoothing it over.

What the classical texts give a daily reading to work with

A daily reading is mostly a reading of the Moon, and the texts explain why. Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS) Ch. 3 Sl. 12-13 gives each graha a governance: the Sun is the soul, the Moon the mind, Mars strength, Mercury the giver of speech, and Saturn denotes grief. The commentary in this app's edition of the Bhrigu Sutras calls the Moon manaskaraka, the significator of mind, and remarks that because it is always waxing and waning, the mind it stands for is unsteady. Its introduction adds the astronomy: the Moon's nearness and speed make it a significator in every branch of astrology, and it crosses the whole zodiac in 27 days, 7 hours and 43 minutes - a little over two days a sign. BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 33 and Saravali Ch. 4 Sl. 17 both allot a unit of time to each graha, and both give the Moon the muhurta, the shortest in the list, and Saturn the year. The fast clock belongs to the Moon.

No classical text scores a day out of ten. What the texts give is a layering. Advanced Predictive Astrology Vol. II (p. 229) compares dasha results to the hour hand of a clock and Gochara, transit, to the minute hand; its chapter on transits (p. 307-308) says events show up largely during dasha periods and that the actual results are modified by transits. BPHS Ch. 66 Sl. 1-4 has Maitreya asking for a method by which ordinary people can judge happiness and sorrow from the grahas in transit, and Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 1 introduces Ashtakavarga as the tool for effects 'in day-to-day life'. The dashboard does not run Ashtakavarga for the day. It uses a much simpler rule, described below, and leaves the fuller instrument to the Ashtakavarga calculator and the signed-in Kundali.

The second ingredient is the lunar fortnight. BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 11 counts the decreasing Moon among the malefics, and the translator's note under it puts the rule plainly: a waxing Moon (Shukla Paksha, the bright half) is a benefic and a waning Moon (Krishna Paksha, the dark half) a malefic. Sl. 35-38 add that benefics gain strength in the bright half and malefics in the dark, and Ch. 27 Sl. 10-11 turns that into arithmetic: Paksha Bala is the Moon's distance from the Sun, folded at 180° and divided by three, so it grows steadily to the full Moon and shrinks again. Saravali Ch. 5 Sl. 16-17 reports a third scheme from the Yavana elders: the Moon is of medium strength for the first ten days of the bright half, exceedingly strong for the next ten - from the 11th of the bright half to the 5th of the dark - and has very little strength for the last ten, up to Amavasya. Ch. 7 Sl. 4 fixes the frame: a month of thirty tithis that opens on the first of the bright half and closes on Amavasya. The Moon Phase calculator shows where in that month any date falls.

The third is the house. BPHS Ch. 7 Sl. 33-36 names the groups: the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th are kendras, the 5th and 9th are konas, and the 6th, 8th and 12th are dusthanas, the 'evil' houses. Ch. 32 Sl. 35-37 says association with those three inflicts evils, while kendras and konas are auspicious. Ch. 11 Sl. 2-13 lists what each house stands for - wealth and family from the 2nd, enemies from the 6th, spouse and trade from the 7th, profession and honour from the 10th. Advanced Predictive Astrology (p. 309) applies the grouping to transits directly: when the lord of the Lagna, the Moon or the Sun passes through the 6th, 8th or 12th from its own natal position, it reads the passage as generally unfavourable. The learn pages on the 6th, 8th and 12th house cover the three in full.

The fourth ingredient is not astrological at all. The Personal Day comes from the Western numerology books this app's number engines draw on. Numerology Metaphysical Secret (Ch. 8) builds it by adding the month and day of birth to the present year, month and day. The Numerology Professional Course Notes (p. 108-109) chain the same sum - Personal Year, then Month, then Day - and go one step further to a Personal Hour, which this app does not compute. What your Personal Year number means explains the year the day hangs from.

How the energy score is built

The score comes from one function, buildDailyIntelligence in dailyEngine.js, and it has exactly three terms.

Term one: the house the Moon is in right now

The engine computes the Moon's sidereal longitude for the instant your request arrives - not for sunrise and not for midnight - and counts whole signs from your ascendant's sign: the same sign is the 1st house, the next is the 2nd, and so on. With no birth time there is no ascendant, and the count starts from your natal Moon's sign instead. BPHS Ch. 66 Sl. 13-15 notes that the twelve bhavas are judged both from the Lagna and from the Moon, so both starting points are classical; they are not interchangeable, as the worked example will show. The house then picks a base score, a focus label, the headline sentence and the lucky window from one fixed table. Your own rising sign is on the Lagna calculator.

MOON_HOUSE_SCORE and luckyWindow() in dailyEngine.js; labels from i18n/daily.js. The window is a lookup on the house number - the day's sunrise, weekday and hora do not enter it.

The twelve base scores are the engine's own numbers; no source text prints them. Their shape follows the classical grouping: the three dusthanas sit at the bottom (4, 3 and 4), the two konas at the top (9) beside the 11th, which BPHS Ch. 11 Sl. 12 reads for income and prosperity, and the kendras fall between 6 and 8.

Term two: your Personal Day

Personal Year is birth day plus birth month plus the current year, reduced to one digit. Personal Month adds the current month to that; Personal Day adds the day of the month. Master numbers are not kept: an 11 becomes 2 and a 22 becomes 4, where Metaphysical Secret lists 11 and 22 as Personal Days of their own. If the result is 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 or 9 the engine adds 1 to the base score; if it is 2, 4 or 7 it subtracts 0.6. That split is the engine's own and no book in this app's library prints it. On this page the current date is read on the Indian clock (Asia/Kolkata), whatever zone you are in.

Term three: the fortnight

The tithi is the Moon's sidereal longitude minus the Sun's, cut into thirty steps of 12°. Tithis 1 to 15 are Shukla Paksha and add 0.5; 16 to 30 are Krishna Paksha and subtract 0.3. The illumination figure in the why line is one minus the cosine of that angle, halved. Only the half of the month enters the score. The tithi number, the illumination and the Moon's nakshatra are reported and not weighed, and the Sun's house, named in the same sentence, adds nothing either. The page reads the tithi at the moment you load it; the Panchang calculator, given a place, reads it at local sunrise the way a printed panchang does, so the two can differ late in the day.

The three terms are added, rounded to one decimal and held between 1 and 10. Twelve houses, two Personal Day weights and two fortnights make 48 combinations and 24 distinct scores, from 2.1 (Moon in the 8th, a 2, 4 or 7 day, dark half) to 10 (Moon in the 5th, 9th or 11th on a +1 day in the bright half, where the raw 10.5 is capped). The words beside the number are cut at fixed points.

Where the engine is simpler than its sources

The fortnight term is a switch that flips at the full Moon. BPHS's Paksha Bala is a continuous quantity, and Saravali's three ten-day spans rate the five days after the full Moon among the Moon's strongest, where the engine has already moved to -0.3. Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 also says the Moon gives its transit effect at the end of a sign; the engine applies one house score from the first degree to the last. These are simplifications, stated so they can be checked.

Nine graha scores, four channels, one named state

The second instrument on the page is the Dynamic Today Kundali Engine (dtkeEngine.js). Its header states its rule: it computes no astrology of its own, and a term that cannot name the engine it came from does not belong in a score. Each graha starts at 5 and collects the terms below; the result is held between 0 and 10.

Three things follow from that table and are easy to miss. First, two terms are fixed at birth, so every graha has a personal baseline that today's sky moves by a few points at most. In the sample, Saturn's Shad Bala of 17.63 out of 20 is worth +2.3 on every day of the person's life, and Saturn was the highest-scoring graha on 316 of the 365 mornings scanned for this page. The graha named beside the state is therefore mostly your strongest natal graha, not news. Second, BPHS Ch. 27 computes Shad Bala for the seven grahas from the Sun to Saturn and says the nodes are not considered; the app's simplified 20-point version on the Shad Bala calculator follows that, so Rahu and Ketu have no strength term - and with no birth time, nobody has one. Third, the engine calls the result an impact score, and the intensified position adds a point even though the Gochara rules list those positions as hard ones. Read the line beside the score for direction, not the number alone.

The four channels are averages of those scores. Mental is the mean of Mercury and the Moon, Emotional is the Moon alone, Action is Mars alone, and Decision clarity is the mean of Mercury and Saturn. The anchors are the governances of BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 12-13, and the engine's header is candid that no source supplies a nine-by-four table of planets against channels, so it did not write one. Because Mars and Saturn stay in a sign for weeks or years, Action and Decision can sit on one value for a long time; across the ten mornings below neither moved at all. Only the Moon's share, and occasionally Mercury's, changes every few days.

The named state is chosen by the first rule that matches, from the top.

DAY_STATES in dtkeEngine.js. A conflict flag is raised when Action is 7 or above while the energy score is 4 or below, or while the risk score is 65 or above.

The first rule needs a plain explanation, because it decides most days. The count runs over all nine grahas, and the engine marks Rahu and Ketu retrograde every day - correctly, since BPHS Ch. 47 Sl. 3-4 itself calls the nodes 'always retrograde'. Two of the three are therefore always present, and one planet turning retrograde is enough to make the day a Confusion Day for every chart at once. In the year scanned from 5 October 2026, at least one of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn was retrograde on 268 of 365 mornings, and all 268 read Confusion. A two-year scan across twelve birth times with twelve different ascendants gave the same 553 days out of 730 for every one of them. That label reports the sky, not you. The other states shared the sample's remaining 97 mornings: 32 Steady, 30 High Action, 17 Emotional Sensitivity, 12 Low Energy and 6 Opportunity.

The texts do not agree that retrogression is a weakness in the first place. BPHS Ch. 27 Sl. 21-23 gives a retrograde graha 60 virupas of motional strength, the highest of its eight kinds of motion, and Saravali Ch. 4 Sl. 36 lists a planet in retrograde motion among the strong. Advanced Predictive Astrology (p. 325) reads a retrograde transit as a stay: promotions or transfers are held for a while and move once the planet turns direct. The -1 in the day score follows that last reading, while the app's own Shad Bala gives a Mars, Mercury, Jupiter or Venus that was retrograde at birth its full motional point. The same word adds strength in one term and removes it in another, and both are visible in the working.

The rest of the dashboard, block by block

The chips beside the headline

Confidence and risk arrive from a separate call and are computed for the general question, which the app reads from the 1st house. Risk adds four terms out of 100 - dasha quality (30), Saturn's transit position from your Moon (25), the strength of the 1st-house lord (25) and active doshas (20) - bands the total at thirds, and withholds the level when fewer than 50 points could be read. Confidence on this page is scored on data strength (30) and chart clarity (40) only; the timing-alignment component is not supplied on this call, so the percentage is out of 70 points and the breakdown says so. Neither chip is about today: nothing in either moves with the Moon. A third chip dates your next Antardasha. The Timing feature page takes each term apart.

Today's guidance: four rows that do not change

Career, love, money and health are read from houses 10, 7, 2 and 6. Each row takes the sign on that house, finds its lord, and reads the lord's dignity in your birth chart. Exalted, moolatrikona, own or friendly sign prints 'Lean into this today'; debilitated or enemy sign prints 'Move deliberately here'; neutral prints 'Steady as it goes'. The word 'today' is in the label, but nothing in the rule is: the rows are the standing condition of four house lords, and they will read the same next month. Use them as a map of which areas of your chart are better supported - the 10th house and 7th house pages explain what each lord carries - and use the lines beneath them for the day. The Health row is a house lord's dignity, not medical advice.

Alerts

Three alerts can appear under the rows. 'Hold major commitments for now' shows when the Moon is in your 6th, 8th or 12th. 'Amavasya approaching - favour closure' shows in the dark half from tithi 27 onward, the last four tithis of the month. 'High-clarity window today' shows when the energy score is 8 or more. A fourth, 'Low-energy day', is written for scores of 3.5 or less outside those three houses, and the arithmetic above never produces one: the lowest score outside the 6th, 8th and 12th is 5.1. In the year scanned the three fired on 93, 49 and 170 mornings.

Right Now

Three cells. Focus is the energy score cut at 7 and 5: Sharp, Workable, Scattered. Emotional is the fortnight crossed with the score at 6: 'Building - reaching outward' or 'Building, but cautious' in the bright half, 'Consolidating - steady inward focus' or 'Winding down - low reserves' in the dark. Neither is a new measurement, and both still print in English in every language. Moon today gives the transiting Moon's sign and degree, its nakshatra, the tithi and the paksha.

Smart insights

Up to seven cards. Two restate the guidance: the first testing area as Risk, the first favourable one as Opportunity. Strongest Planet is the graha with the highest Shad Bala in your birth chart, Hidden Opportunity is the first yoga the engine detects, and Worth Watching is the first dosha present. Those three are birth-chart facts and repeat every day; what a yoga in your chart means is the right companion for them. Only the last two belong to the date: Emotional Pattern (waxing or waning, the Moon's sign, the tithi) and Decision Tip (the Personal Day).

The side rail

Timeline snapshot names your running Mahadasha and its end year, and marks the period favourable or testing by the test of BPHS Ch. 47 Sl. 5-6: favourable when the lord is in the Lagna or in an exalted, own or friendly sign, unfavourable in the 6th, 8th or 12th or in a debilitated or enemy sign. Your numbers lists Mulank, Bhagyank, Personal Month and Personal Day. Weekly progress records one check-in per date when you open the page - the date is taken in UTC, so a visit before 05:30 IST counts for the previous day - and keeps the last 90. The alignment line is a ratio of logged actions that matched the chart's do, improve or avoid guidance over all resolved ones, and it prints no number at all until you have resolved at least one.

One sample, ten mornings

The sample's ascendant is Leo at 2.33° and the natal Moon is at 24.64° Libra in Vishakha. Mulank is 5 and Bhagyank 9. Mercury's Mahadasha runs from January 2024 to January 2041, with Ketu's Antardasha inside it from 16 June 2026 to 13 June 2027.

At 09:00 IST on 5 October 2026 the transiting Moon is at 8.44° Cancer, in Pushya. Cancer is the twelfth sign counted from Leo, so the base is 4 and the focus reads 'Rest and closure'. Personal Year: 14 + 8 + 2026 = 2048, and 2 + 0 + 4 + 8 = 14, then 1 + 4 = 5. Personal Month: 5 + 10 = 15, so 6. Personal Day: 6 + 5 = 11, which the engine reduces to 2 - a day Metaphysical Secret would have kept as an 11. A 2 subtracts 0.6. The Moon is 290.74° ahead of the Sun: that is tithi 25, the tenth of the dark half, 32.3% lit, and it subtracts 0.3. So the gauge reads 4 - 0.6 - 0.3 = 3.1, 'low energy - conserve', the headline says energy runs low and the day is better for finishing than starting, and the pill reads Lucky 2 · Pearl White · 8:00 – 9:30 PM. Saravali's ten-day spans and the BPHS translator's note both put that Moon in its weakest third, so here the simple switch and the sources agree.

Engine output for the sample, one reading each morning. Every one of these ten mornings also carried the state 'Confusion Day', because Venus and Saturn were retrograde throughout.

Two of those mornings show how lines on the same card can pull apart. On 8 October the page carries 'Amavasya approaching - favour closure' and 'High-clarity window today' together, because one reads the tithi and the other the score. On 12 October the Personal Day is 9: the Emotional cell prints 'Finish and release. Avoid starting anything new', while the score takes +1 for the same 9 and the Decision Tip says the day favours taking action. The engine does not reconcile them, and neither should this page; they are two uses of one number.

The nine graha scores for 5 October, with the terms the working prints:

buildTodayKundali() for the sample at 09:00 IST, 5 October 2026. Houses are counted from the natal Libra Moon.

Mental is (2.4 + 7.2) ÷ 2 = 4.8, Emotional 7.2, Action 5.9 and Decision clarity (2.4 + 8.3) ÷ 2 = 5.4. Four grahas are retrograde - Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu - so rule one fires and the card reads Confusion Day. Had it not, the next rule to match would have been Low Energy Day, which is what the gauge beside it already says.

Now compare the Emotional bar with the gauge. On 5 October the gauge is 3.1 because the Moon is in the 12th from the Leo ascendant, yet the Moon's own score is 7.2, because the same Cancer is the 10th from the natal Libra Moon and Gochara reads a benefic there as favourable. On 9 October it reverses: the Moon in Virgo is the 2nd from the ascendant, so the gauge reads 7.7, while Virgo is the 12th from the natal Moon, the Moon's score falls to 3.2 and Mental to 2.8. Nothing is broken in either case. The page is reading one Moon from two reference points, as BPHS Ch. 66 says the bhavas are judged, and it prints both without averaging them.

The moment of the visit matters too. On 6 October the Moon left Cancer for Leo at 22:19 IST by this engine. At 22:00 the sample's score was 4.7; at 23:00 it was 8.7, 'high clarity window', and the lucky pill had switched from an evening window to 5:30 – 7:00 AM, a slot already gone that day. Five minutes past midnight the Personal Day turned from 3 to 4 and the score fell to 7.1. Three scores inside two hours and five minutes, each correct for its instant.

The rest of the sample's page that morning: confidence 57%, built from 18 of 30 for data strength (a birth time, no logged events) and 22 of 40 for chart clarity. Risk is 43, medium - 24 of 30 because the Mercury Mahadasha reads challenging from the 12th house (Cancer is a neutral sign for this Mercury), 0 of 25 because Saturn in Pisces is clear of the Sade Sati and Ashtama Sani positions, 14 of 25 for a middling Sun ruling the 1st from the 12th, and 5 of 20 for one mild dosha. The guidance rows read Career 'Move deliberately here' (Venus, lord of the 10th, is debilitated), Money 'Steady as it goes' (Mercury, lord of the 2nd, is in a neutral sign) and Love and Health 'Lean into this today' (Saturn rules both the 7th and the 6th from its moolatrikona sign). The next-shift chip reads Venus Antardasha, 13 June 2027.

How to read each kind of result

  • The gauge is three additions. Open 'See why' and you can redo it: the Moon's house, the Personal Day, the paksha. If you disagree with one of the three, subtract it and read what is left.
  • The words beside the gauge are bands of that number, nothing more. 'High clarity window' means 8.5 or above, which the table of base scores makes fairly common: 156 of the sample's 365 mornings.
  • The named state is a rule over the day's sky and your scores, chosen top-down. When it says Confusion, check the working for 'retrograde today' lines before reading anything personal into it.
  • A channel bar is an average of one or two graha scores. A bar that has not moved for weeks is not stuck; its grahas have not changed sign, and its natal terms never will.
  • The graha beside the state is the highest score of the nine. Expect it to be the same graha most days, and read it as a description of your chart more than of the date.
  • A graha missing from the working has no terms at all - it sits at the starting 5 - and is left out rather than listed with nothing to show.
  • Career, love, money and health are standing readings of four house lords. They are worth reading once; the alerts under them are worth reading daily.
  • An alert is a threshold being crossed, and its 'Why?' names the threshold. Two alerts that seem to contradict each other are reading two different inputs.
  • The lucky pill is three lookups: the Personal Day, a colour assigned to that number, and a window assigned to the Moon's house. It is a label for the day, not a computed time.
  • The confidence and risk chips describe the chart and its running period. They will not move from one morning to the next unless a dasha or Saturn changes.
  • A blank is an answer. No guidance rows means no birth time; no alignment number means no resolved actions; no risk level means fewer than 50 of 100 points could be read.

Birth time, clock time and other sensitivities

The daily reading is more sensitive to the birth time than almost anything else in the app, because the whole score rests on one house count. The sample's ascendant entered Leo at 06:32 IST on the birth date; the recorded time is 06:42. Eleven minutes earlier the ascendant is Cancer at 29.87°, every house shifts by one, and the same Moon on the same morning stands in the 1st instead of the 12th. With no birth time at all the app casts the chart for 12:00 noon, drops the ascendant and counts from the natal Moon. What a missing birth time costs covers the general case; the table is this page's.

Same date and city, engine output. One column differs from the next by eleven minutes of birth time.

Across the year scanned, the timed chart and the noon-assumed one gave different energy scores on 306 of 365 mornings, and scores three or more points apart on 81. Without a birth time the nine graha rows also lose their two natal terms, so they are built from Gochara, retrogression and the dasha alone: the sample's Mercury reads 4.5 instead of 2.4 and Saturn 6.0 instead of 8.3. The dasha dates themselves slide, because noon puts the Moon three degrees further on, which is why the +1 for the Antardasha lord goes to the Sun instead of Ketu. And on this particular birth date the Moon changes sign during the day - Libra early, Scorpio late - so even the fallback anchor is uncertain. The Moon Sign calculator reports that kind of boundary.

The clock you read on matters in three smaller ways. The Moon's position is taken at the instant of the request, so a sign change during the day changes the score between two visits. The Personal Day turns at midnight in India on this page; Metaphysical Secret says a Personal Day begins and ends at the hour you were born, and a reader abroad will see the number turn at 18:30 UTC rather than at their own midnight. And the Moon's longitude comes from a series the project's own notes rate at about 0.1-0.3°, which is 11 to 33 minutes of the Moon's motion - so the minute a sign change is shown should be trusted to about half an hour, not to the minute.

What the daily reading does not do

  • It does not forecast events or guarantee anything in either direction. The line under the card says so on every load: a classical reading of a day, not a measurement of you and not a forecast.
  • It does not use Ashtakavarga, although BPHS Ch. 66 and Saravali Ch. 53 present it as the instrument for judging transits day to day.
  • It does not weigh a transiting graha's dignity or its place within the sign, both of which Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 asks for. On 5 October 2026 Jupiter stood in Cancer, its sign of exaltation, and took the same +2 any benefic in the 10th from the Moon would.
  • It uses the fortnight once. The energy score takes the paksha; the Gochara term grades the transiting Moon by the benefic rules in both halves of the month.
  • It does not use the weekday or the planetary hour, though BPHS Ch. 27 Sl. 13 gives strength to the lords of the year, month, day and hora, and describes horas as running from sunrise to sunrise. The lucky window is not a hora.
  • It does not learn from you. Checking in, logging actions and reacting to insights are recorded, and none of them changes tomorrow's score.
  • Its astronomy is not Swiss Ephemeris. Positions come from the Meeus-based routines the Methodology page describes.
  • It prescribes no remedies, gemstones or rituals, and it gives no medical reading of any day.

One number, two systems

The energy score adds a numerology term to two astrological ones. The two traditions share no theory, and the sum is a convenience, not a finding; the why line keeps the three terms visible so you can discount whichever you do not hold with. When astrology and numerology disagree sets out how this app treats the two elsewhere.

Where the daily reading connects to the rest of the app

  • Every natal fact on the dashboard - Shad Bala, the first yoga, the doshas, the four house lords - is computed by the Kundali engine, and that page shows the full tables. The free Birth Chart calculator shows the placements without an account.
  • The next-shift chip and the Mahadasha row are the short form of Timing. The Vimshottari Dasha calculator dates every level, and what a Mahadasha actually is explains the clock.
  • The 'Best time to act' button opens Muhurat, which scores real ninety-minute windows from the nakshatra, tithi, weekday and Rahu Kaal as well as the Moon's house and your Personal Day. For the hours themselves, use the Hora, Choghadiya and Rahu Kaal calculators.
  • The context given to the AI Life Chat includes the same daily object and the same Today Kundali state, so the energy score it reasons from is the one on your dashboard, not a second one.
  • Mulank, Bhagyank and the personal cycles come from the Numerology engine. The Personal Year calculator and the free numerology tool show the cycle without an account, and the Lucky Colours calculator uses a different table from the pill here - Numero's, keyed to your birth-date number, not to the Personal Day.
  • Saturn's transit term in the risk chip is the same check the Sade Sati and Ashtama Sani calculators run.
  • The reactions you leave on insights are tallied by Accuracy, which reports whether the readings have held up for you.
  • The same score is one of the triggers of the opt-in daily message, and only at 8.5 or above or 4.0 or below. The WhatsApp page states for itself whether anything is being sent yet.
  • Methodology and Sources list the astronomy and the books behind all of it.

Questions people ask about the daily reading

Why did my score change between the morning and the night?
Because the score is computed for the moment you open the page. If the Moon crossed into the next sign in between, it is in a different house and takes a different base score; if midnight in India passed, the Personal Day changed as well. In the sample, 6 October 2026 read 4.7 at 22:00 IST and 8.7 an hour later, when the Moon had moved from Cancer into Leo.
Why does the page say Confusion Day so often?
The rule fires when three or more of the nine grahas are retrograde, and the engine counts Rahu and Ketu, which are retrograde every day. One planet in retrograde is therefore enough, and that was the case on 268 of the 365 mornings scanned from 5 October 2026 - for every chart, not only the sample's. Read the label as a note about the sky, and look at the gauge and the channels for the part that is about you.
The gauge says low energy but the Emotional bar is high. Which one is right?
Both are arithmetic on the same Moon from different starting points. The gauge counts the Moon's house from your ascendant; the Emotional bar uses the Moon's Gochara verdict, which counts from your natal Moon. BPHS Ch. 66 Sl. 13-15 says the bhavas are judged from both, and the page shows both. When they disagree, the honest summary is that the day reads differently from the two reference points.
Is the lucky window a muhurat?
No. It is one of twelve fixed slots chosen by the Moon's house, with no sunrise, weekday or hora behind it - which is why it can name a time that has already passed. For timing that is actually computed, use the Muhurat calculator or the signed-in Muhurat page.
Why are Career, Love, Money and Health the same every day?
They are read from the lords of your 10th, 7th, 2nd and 6th houses and each lord's dignity in your birth chart. None of that depends on the date. They tell you which areas of the chart are better or less well supported in general; the alerts and the gauge are the parts that move.
I have no birth time. What am I actually seeing?
A reading counted from your Moon sign instead of your ascendant, on a chart cast for noon. The four guidance rows are absent, the graha scores have no Shad Bala or combustion terms, confidence reads 0% because the data-strength component is empty, and the risk level is marked provisional. The score can differ a great deal from the one a birth time would give: for the sample it differed on 306 of 365 mornings.
Why is the same graha named beside the state day after day?
The highest of the nine scores is named there, and the largest stable term in every score is natal Shad Bala, which never changes. A graha that is strong in your birth chart starts each day up to three points ahead. For the sample that graha is Saturn, and it led on 316 of 365 mornings.
Does a high score mean the day will go well?
No. It means the Moon is in a house the engine scores highly, your Personal Day is one it adds a point for, and the Moon is waxing. That is a statement about positions and a calendar sum. It cannot know your workload, your health or what anyone else will do, and it promises nothing.
Why is my Personal Day here different from another app or from the book?
Three choices differ between sources. This app reduces 11 and 22 to 2 and 4, where Numerology Metaphysical Secret keeps them. It turns the day at midnight in India on this page, where that book turns it at your birth hour. And it starts the Personal Year on 1 January, where Numerology Made Easy starts it on your birthday. The Personal Year calculator shows the calendar cycle beside the birthday-to-birthday Vedic year.
Does checking in or logging actions change my score?
No. A visit is recorded for the streak, and resolved actions feed the alignment ratio, but the energy score and the graha scores are computed only from your birth details and the date. Two people with the same birth details would see the same numbers at the same moment.
