This calculator runs the same engine as the signed-in Career and Money feature, whose long read already explains the houses, the Career DNA weights, the six-term wealth signal, the job-or-venture tally and one sample chart. This page starts where that one stops: what the public calculator does differently, the Saturn transits beside the loss-risk list, the complete tables behind the labels, what Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS) says about the lords of the 2nd, 10th and 11th house by house, and a second chart taken through the live engine.

What the public calculator hands the engine

The engine has one entry point, and the two routes into it pass it different things. That is the whole reason the calculator and the signed-in page can show different panels for the same birth details.

So the calculator is the only place where the loss-risk panel can carry a Sade Sati or Ashtama Sani note, and its money-personality panel always ends by saying there are not enough logged money outcomes yet, 0 recorded, 3 needed - not a fault in your chart, just no events to read.

The calculator also refuses to run on partial details. Its registry entry needs an Ascendant, so without both a birth time and a resolved place it answers with a note naming what is missing instead of a result. The engine itself is written to report Saturn-from-Moon states even when there is no birth time, because they need only the Moon sign, but through this calculator that branch is never reached. If all you have is a date, the Saturn transits can still be read directly: the Sade Sati calculator and the Ashtama Sani calculator work from the Moon sign, and the Gochar calculator shows every planet's transit from the natal Moon.

Everything dated is measured from the moment you press the button: Antardashas within twelve years for the heatmap, six years for the investment panel, 45 days for the day windows. Run it again in a month and the natal parts - Career DNA, the job-or-venture tally, the money personality, the field and skill lists - come back identical, while the present period, the upcoming windows, the day windows and the Saturn note can all have moved.

Loss-risk windows and the Saturn-from-Moon states

The loss-risk list and the Saturn states sit in the same panel but are produced by separate rules, and the most common misreading of this calculator is to treat one as the cause of the other.

The dated caution windows

A Mahadasha or Antardasha becomes a caution window only when its wealth signal falls in the mixed or testing band, 44 or lower, and at least one of four things is true of its lord: it rules the 6th, 8th or 12th house; it sits in one of them; it is debilitated or in an enemy sign; or it is combust. Each reason that fires is written into the window's sentence, so a window can say, for example, that its lord rules the 8th house of sudden reversal and other people's money and is in an enemy sign. Unlike the income list, aspect does not count here. Up to six windows are shown, by start date, and each carries the same instruction - consolidate rather than retreat, keep reserves liquid, take on no new fixed obligation you could not carry if income paused.

The band condition removes most candidates. A lord can rule the 12th, sit in an enemy sign and be weak by Shad Bala, and still not be flagged because the rest of its score holds it at 45 or above - the second chart below has that case. The engine's comment gives the reason: a 12th lord scoring well elsewhere marks an expensive but productive period, and calling it a risk would be scaremongering.

The Saturn states

Separately, the calculator takes transiting Saturn's sign today and counts it from your natal Moon sign. Three positions make Sade Sati and two make one of the Ashtama states. Each state that is active is printed with the sign Saturn is in and the sign your Moon is in, so the basis can be checked.

The sources behind these states speak more harshly than the app does. Advanced Predictive Astrology, in its chapter of research on transits, quotes Phaladeepika Ch. 26 that Saturn passing through the natal Moon's sign brings fatigue and loss of wealth, describes Ardha Ashtama Sani - Saturn in the 4th from the Moon - as a time of family unhappiness because the 4th rules peace of mind, and names Saturn's passage through the 8th from the Moon Ashtama Sani. The app keeps the positions and drops the forecasts of loss, which is consistent with how it frames transits everywhere else.

Now the point that matters for reading the panel. The Saturn states change nothing else in it. They do not add a caution window, do not lower any signal and do not enter the money personality. The six-term score is computed from the natal chart alone, and the dated windows come from the Vimshottari timeline alone. So the panel can show an Ashtama Sani note above an empty caution list, or a caution window in 2031 under no Saturn note at all. They answer different questions: the windows ask which stretches of your own timeline lean towards outflow, the note asks what Saturn is doing to your Moon sign this year.

The nine money personalities

The feature page explains the bands - hold from the 2nd lord's Shad Bala, risk tilt from the appetite and restraint grahas. What it does not print is the table those bands select from. There are three risk bands and three hold bands, so exactly nine labels are possible, and every chart with a birth time lands on one of them. The Shad Bala figures behind every band can be checked on the Shad Bala calculator.

Three details decide edge cases. The tilt bands are strict: a tilt must be greater than +0.08 to read appetite and less than -0.08 to read restraint, so a tilt of exactly 0.08 is balanced - the second chart below sits precisely on that line. The hold bands are inclusive: 0.65 is already tight and 0.40 is already loose. And the release band, read from the 12th lord as light, moderate or heavy, is shown beside the label but never changes it; nor does the acquire axis from the 11th lord. Two charts can share a label while one has a heavy outflow and the other a light one, and the release row is where that shows.

Below the label, the numbers layer asks one question: does the graha ruling your Mulank also rule your 2nd, 11th or 12th? If it does, the panel says your habits around money feel like personality rather than policy; if not, it says a money rule that runs against your instinct can hold for you where it would not for others. The rulers come from this app's numerology tables, explained in Mulank, Bhagyank and Life Path. The Bhagyank is not part of this check; it is used only in the Career DNA overlap.

Fields and skills, graha by graha

The industry list and the skills panel do not invent text per person. Each graha has one fixed list of fields and one pair of skill sentences, and the chart decides which grahas are read. A graha reaches the industry list by being among the top four of your Career DNA; it reaches the side-stream list by ruling or occupying your 3rd or 11th; it reaches the skills panel by ruling or occupying your 10th, 2nd, 11th, 6th, 3rd or 7th. The full tables are below.

The merge keeps one graha from having one set of careers on the numerology pages and another here. The short numerology entries come first on each row, so the side-stream panel, which shows only the first four fields, tends to show the broader names. The second colour on each industry row borrows the first two fields of the lord of the nakshatra the graha occupies, from this same table.

A graha in the middle band goes into neither column, however many houses on the axis it touches. So a chart whose axis is all Medium returns two empty lists, and the panel says that this is a genuinely flat result rather than filling the slot. For the nodes, which have no Shad Bala here and a Neutral dignity in every sign, that means Rahu and Ketu never appear in the skills panel, even when one sits in your 10th.

BPHS Chapter 24 on the lords of the 2nd, 10th and 11th

BPHS Ch. 24 gives one sloka for the lord of every house in every house, 144 in all. The three runs that matter for money and work are the 2nd lord (Sl. 13-24), the 10th lord (Sl. 109-120) and the 11th lord (Sl. 121-132). The table gives only the clauses about wealth, work and standing; most slokas also speak about wives, children and character, and those are left out. The last column is the weight the engine gives a graha for sitting in that house in the wealth read. The houses themselves have their own pages: the 2nd house, the 10th house and the 11th house.

Read across, the engine and the text agree on the shape and part company in four places. They agree that the 2nd, 10th and 11th are among the best places for these lords and that the 6th and 12th are poor ones. They disagree on the 4th: BPHS is generous to all three lords there, promising lands, houses and all kinds of wealth, while the engine gives the 4th no weight at all. They disagree on the 8th for the 2nd lord: Sl. 20 promises abundant land and wealth, while the engine applies its heaviest wealth penalty, -1.5, to any lord in the 8th. They disagree mildly on the 3rd and 7th, which BPHS reads well for the 10th and 11th lords and the engine reads as zero. And BPHS judges a lord by where it sits, while the engine also credits it for what it rules and what it aspects, so a 2nd lord in the 12th is not simply marked down.

The chapter closes with a rule that maps onto the engine better than any single sloka does. Sl. 145-148 say that a graha owning two houses gives results from both lordships, that contrary results cancel, and that a graha gives full, half or a quarter of its effects as its strength is full, medium or negligible. The engine adds the weights of every house a lord rules, so a lord of a good and a bad house is netted down - a lord of the 6th and 11th earns -1 and +2, net +1 - and it scales by strength twice, once through the Shad Bala term of the wealth signal and once through the capability factor on Career DNA. The difference is that the engine adds its strength term rather than multiplying the result by it, so a weak lord of the 2nd and 11th still keeps the full four points for rulership.

Ch. 25 covers the non-luminous grahas (upagrahas), not house lords; the engine reads none of them.

A second chart through the calculator

The feature page works through a chart whose Ascendant sits 2.33 degrees into Leo, where a few minutes change Career DNA. This one was chosen to be different: a birth on 2 March 1988 at 14:20 IST in Pune (18.5204 N, 73.8567 E). It is a constructed sample, not a real person. It was run through the live calculator on 9 October 2026, and every number below was re-derived by hand from the components the engine returned.

The Ascendant is 19.93 degrees Gemini, in the middle of its sign, so the houses here are not sensitive to small errors in the time. That puts Cancer on the 2nd, Leo on the 3rd, Pisces on the 10th, Aries on the 11th and Taurus on the 12th. The Sun is in Aquarius in the 9th, the Moon in Leo in the 3rd, Mars and Saturn together in Sagittarius in the 7th, Mercury in Capricorn in the 8th, Jupiter and Venus in Aries in the 11th, Rahu in Pisces in the 10th and Ketu in Virgo in the 4th.

Career: Jupiter leads, and the venture side wins outright

Jupiter holds two roles - lord of the 10th, Pisces, and lord of the Dashamsa Ascendant, Sagittarius - for a weight of 5, and at 10.67 of 20 Shad Bala its pull is 5 x (0.4 + 0.6 x 0.5335) = 3.60. The Sun is second at 2.735: Amatya Karaka at 18.31 degrees Aquarius and the strongest graha in the chart at 12.71, weight 3.5. Rahu in the 10th is third at the flat 1.75 every node in the 10th gets. The Atma Karaka is Mercury, at 21.83 degrees Capricorn, and Venus is vargottama in the D10. The numbers check agrees: the Bhagyank is 4, ruled by Rahu, and Rahu is on the axis. The job-or-venture tally reads Business-leaning, 4.69 to 0, the opposite of the feature page's sample. Three tests fire, all on the venture side. The Sun outweighs Saturn by 5.08 Shad Bala points, worth 1 + 5.08 / 3 = 2.69. Rahu sits in the 10th, worth 1.25. Mars, lord of the 11th, aspects the 10th and 2nd from the 7th, worth 0.75. Nothing fires for employment: no 10th-6th link, every lord the tally tests is Medium, and Mercury, at 9.79, is neither Strong nor Weak. A zero on one side is a real result; it means none of the employment conditions is met, not that a job is ruled out.

Money: the Moon period is an income window, Saturn the only caution

The running period is the Moon Mahadasha, December 2018 to December 2028. The Moon rules the 2nd: +2. It sits in the 3rd: 0. It aspects the 9th: 1 x 0.4 = +0.4. It is in a neutral sign: 0. Its Shad Bala of 11.08 adds (0.554 - 0.5) x 3 = +0.162, and the 3rd holds 29 bindus: +0.1. The sum is 2.662, and (2.662 + 8) / 16 x 100 rounds to 67, supportive. Because the Moon rules the 2nd and scores 60 or more, the period is an income window.

Mars is worth checking because it shows the netting of two lordships. It rules the 6th (-1) and the 11th (+2), so rulership is +1. From the 7th it aspects the 10th, 1st and 2nd, whose weights sum to 3.75; times 0.4 that is 1.5, exactly the cap. Its Shad Bala of 10.75 adds 0.112, and the 7th has 25 bindus, -0.3. The total of 2.312 rescales to 64. Saturn shows the other side: the 8th and 9th net -0.5, its aspects on the 1st, 9th and 4th add 0.6, the enemy sign takes 1, its Shad Bala of 7.63 takes 0.356 and the bindus 0.3, for -1.555 and a signal of 40.

Scanned from 9 October 2026, the calculator found six Mahadashas and fourteen Antardashas not yet over. Seven qualified as income windows and the first six by date were shown: the running Moon Mahadasha; the Mars Mahadasha of 2028 to 2035 and its own first sub-period; the Jupiter sub-period of June 2030 to May 2031; the Moon sub-period of 2035; and the Jupiter sub-period from September 2038. The seventh, the Jupiter Mahadasha of 2053 to 2069, was cut by the limit of six. Two caution windows were found: the Saturn sub-period of May 2031 to June 2032, inside the Mars Mahadasha, and the Saturn Mahadasha that begins in 2069. Venus, the weakest graha in the chart at 3.79 and ruling the 12th from an enemy sign, is left out: its rulership of the 5th and its seat in the 11th hold it at 46.

On the day it was run, transiting Saturn was in Pisces, the 8th sign from this chart's Moon in Leo, so the panel added an Ashtama Sani note. The note changed nothing above it: the caution list still began in 2031, and the running Moon period was still an income window. This is the separation described earlier, seen in a real result.

The rest of the panels

The money personality is The Balancer, and it is a boundary case. Mars, the only appetite graha, measures 0.5375; Saturn and Jupiter, the restraint grahas, average 0.4575. The tilt is 0.08 exactly - not greater than 0.08, so balanced. The 2nd lord, the Moon, holds 0.554, moderate. A Mars stronger by a fraction of a Shad Bala point would have made this The Accelerator. The release axis reads light, because Venus, the 12th lord, measures only 0.19. And the Mulank is 2, ruled by the Moon, which also rules the 2nd, so the numbers layer reports that the way this person operates and the way their money behaves run on the same graha.

The side stream is supported: the Sun as 3rd lord and Mars as 11th lord are both Medium, and the suggestions, ranked by pull, are the Sun, Mars and the Moon, which sits in the 3rd. The skills panel lists one graha to build - Venus, Weak, sitting in the 11th house of income, so relationship capital and client-facing polish - and nothing to lean on, because no graha on the axis reaches the Strong band; the strongest in the whole chart, the Sun, stops at 12.71. No Dhan Yoga is present. The investment panel calls the Moon and Mars periods supportive and the Ketu, Venus and Sun sub-periods neutral, and calls Jupiter, the Dhana Karaka, middling at 10.67.

The day-level investment windows put three moments at 89, excellent: 21 October and twice on 16 November 2026. Each credits the Moon transiting the 8th house from the Ascendant as supportive, while the dasha-level read in the same panel gives the 8th its heaviest investment penalty, -2. This is the muhurat-versus-dasha contradiction the feature page flags, visible on one page: both are shown, neither reconciled.

Checking a result from this calculator against your own chart

1. 1.Confirm the houses first. Run the Lagna calculator and note how far into its sign your Ascendant is. Near either edge of the sign, run this calculator a few minutes either side of your time before relying on any house-based panel.
2. 2.Recompute the running period's signal from its components: rulership, occupation, aspect times 0.4, dignity, (Shad Bala / 20 - 0.5) x 3 and (bindus - 28) / 10, then (sum + 8) / 16 x 100. The bindus for each house are on the Ashtakavarga calculator.
3. 3.For every caution window, find which of the four lord conditions fired, then check the dates against the Vimshottari Dasha calculator. For every Saturn note, check the Moon sign and Saturn's current sign independently.
4. 4.Read the 2nd, 10th and 11th lords' houses against the BPHS table above, and note where the text and the engine weight disagree. The Dashamsa D10 and Char Karakas calculators show the other two roles behind Career DNA.

Questions about the Career and Money calculator

The calculator shows Ashtama Sani but no caution window this year. Is that contradictory?

No. The Saturn note reads today's transit from your Moon sign; the caution windows read your own Vimshottari periods and the natal condition of their lords. Neither feeds the other, so an active Saturn state does not create a window and an empty caution list does not cancel a Saturn state.

Does Sade Sati lower my wealth signal?

No. The six-term signal is built from the natal chart alone - rulership, occupation, aspect, dignity, Shad Bala and bindus - and no transit enters it. Sade Sati is reported as a separate line with the signs it was computed from.

Why does the signed-in page not show the Saturn note?

Because its route does not pass live transits to the engine, while this calculator does. The signed-in page has its own Saturn factor inside the risk chip described on the Career and Money feature page.

Why is there never a behaviour line under my money personality here?

The behaviour line needs at least three money-tagged life events with an outcome, and those exist only on an account. The calculator has none, so it always prints the not-enough-entries sentence with 0 recorded.

My 12th lord is weak and in an enemy sign. Why is its period not a caution window?

Because the caution list also needs the signal to be 44 or lower. If the lord's other houses, its seat and its aspects hold the score at 45 or above, the engine reads the period as costly but not a risk. In the second chart above, Venus is in exactly this position at 46.

Can my money personality change if I run the calculator next year?

Not on the same birth details. The label comes from natal Shad Bala and lordships, which do not move. What changes with the date is the dated material: which period is running, which windows lie ahead, the day windows and any Saturn note.

Why is my skills panel empty?

Every graha that rules or sits in your 10th, 2nd, 11th, 6th, 3rd or 7th measured in the Medium band, between 7 and 13 of 20 Shad Bala, so none is listed to build or to lean on. The panel states that rather than inventing a skill.
