Saturn and Jupiter change sign five times in 2027: Saturn crosses from Pisces into Aries and back, and Jupiter crosses three times. Rahu stays in Capricorn and Ketu, opposite it, in Cancer. Counted from a Capricorn Moon, Saturn's two signs are the 3rd and 4th houses, Jupiter's are the 7th, 8th and 9th, Rahu's is the 1st and Ketu's the 7th.
This page reports positions and the engine's rules for them; it does not say what 2027 will bring to anyone with a Capricorn Moon. A transit is read against the natal Moon sign (the Moon sign calculator finds it) in the method called Gochara, and the Gochar calculator applies the same rules to any birth date on any day. 2027 dates: every sign change and station
The first table lists the five ingresses and three stations of Saturn and Jupiter in 2027. A station is the day a graha turns retrograde or direct (see vakri). Rahu and Ketu change no sign in 2027. Jupiter turned retrograde on 13 December 2026, at 2.82 degrees of Leo, which is why it moves back into Cancer on 25 January.

Dates are this app's computation and may differ from other software by hours to a day or two near an ingress. In India (UTC+5:30) Saturn's station of 9 August (19:06 UTC) falls on 10 August at 00:36, and Jupiter's entry into Leo of 25 June (18:14 UTC) is within an hour of midnight, at 23:44 the same day; the other six dates are the same there. The engine gives each graha a verdict by its house alone, counting the Moon sign as the 1st. The second table lists every stay in force during 2027 with its true start and end, and the dignity the engine computes with no birth chart (friendly or enemy is the natural relation only).

In India Saturn's station of 26 July 2026 (20:11 UTC) falls on 27 July, Jupiter's entry into Leo of 30 October 2026 (23:53 UTC) on 31 October, the Rahu and Ketu stay starts (18:59 UTC on 5 December 2026) on 6 December and ends (21:57 UTC on 23 June 2028) on 24 June; Saturn's final exit from Pisces on 22 February 2028 (18:19 UTC, 23:49 there) is within an hour of midnight, on the same date; the 25 June and 9 August times are given above.
No stay raises the engine's "intensified" flag (Saturn with the 1st, Jupiter with the 3rd, Ketu with the 2nd, Rahu with the 9th), and none matches the Tamil palm-leaf pairings in Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 311). Each graha's passage is on Saturn transit for Capricorn Moon sign, Jupiter transit for Capricorn Moon sign and Rahu transit for Capricorn Moon sign.
What the texts add, and where the engine goes further
A search of BPHS and Saravali for "gochar" and "transit" finds no house-from-the-Moon rule for Saturn or Jupiter; both read transits through the Ashtakavarga (BPHS Ch. 66 Sl. 70-72 and Ch. 70 Sl. 43-44, Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 1 and 9-10). The engine's Rahu and Ketu verdicts are its own rule, cited to Kannan (Ch. XXXI), not in the corpus. For Rahu, Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) gives one counted from the Moon: good in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th "from Moon, Sun or Ascendant", unfavourable over the Moon sign and in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 12th. Rahu over a Capricorn Moon sign is unfavourable in the book and testing in the engine: they agree. Ketu in the 7th, neutral, is the engine's rule alone. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 310) lists Jupiter as good in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th from the Moon, which agrees with the engine on the 7th and 9th and has no 8th (testing in the engine). It lists Saturn as good in the 3rd, 6th and 11th (p. 311), agreeing with the engine on the 3rd, and names the 4th Ardha Ashtama Sani (p. 313), below.
Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 312) has a line on Saturn entering the 3rd sign from the Moon, "turning a new leaf". For a Capricorn Moon that is Pisces: Saturn entered on 29 March 2025, leaves on 2 June 2027 and re-enters, retrograde, on 21 October. It is Advanced Predictive Astrology's line, not a forecast.
Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 qualifies its Ashtakavarga transit rule by the sign: benefic results predominate in exaltation, own or friendly signs, malefic ones in debilitation or an enemy's sign. BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 49-50 puts Jupiter's exaltation in Cancer and Saturn's debilitation in Aries, so two stays fall there: Jupiter in Cancer (25 January to 25 June, the 7th) and Saturn in Aries (2 June to 21 October, the 4th). On Jupiter's entry into Cancer Saravali Ch. 5 Sl. 14 adds a contrary view, held by some: a planet entering its exaltation sign in retrograde motion from the next sign, "for example Jupiter entering Cancer from Leo", gives no effect. The engine's Gochara verdict looks at the house only.
Ardha Ashtama Shani for a Capricorn Moon in 2027
The one Saturn phase that touches 2027 for a Capricorn Moon is Ardha Ashtama Shani, Saturn in the 4th sign from the Moon. In this app's computation it begins on 2 June 2027, when Saturn enters Aries, and runs to 16 April 2030. The first stay lasts 141 days, to 21 October; Saturn then spends 125 days in Pisces, the 3rd (a pause, because the engine counts the 4th sign only), and returns to Aries on 22 February 2028 (23:49 in India, within an hour of midnight). The cycle then has stays of 531 and 192 days around a second pause of 61 days in Taurus (whole days). No Sade Sati or Ashtama Shani touches the year. BPHS, Saravali and the Bhrigu Sutras do not name Ardha Ashtama Shani; Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 313) does. What to take care of
Three positions are testing in 2027 by the engine's rule: Saturn in the 4th from a Capricorn Moon, in Aries, from 2 June to 21 October, the first stay of the Ardha Ashtama Shani; Jupiter in the 8th, in Leo, until 25 January and from 25 June to 26 November; and Rahu over the Moon sign, the 1st, all year. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 313) names Saturn's transit through the 4th from the Moon Ardha Ashtama Sani and says the 4th, which rules happiness of mind, brings much family unhappiness; it lists loss of relation, loss of money, loss of happiness and separation from relatives as its outcomes. The book's list goes on to graver events and to named people's lives; this page leaves those out, as this app does not forecast such events. The engine's sentence for the period is "testing domestic peace and family matters, calling for patience at home", and its note for Saturn in the 4th says steadiness serves better than new commitments. Its note for Jupiter in the 8th is "more testing even for a natural benefic", for Rahu "real caution and steadiness serve better than pushing forward". Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) also says that when Rahu in transit attacks the Moon, especially in conjunction, the native's "mental equilibrium" is disturbed: the book's reading of Rahu joining the Moon itself, which a count by sign cannot show, and not a medical statement.
- Family: the reading names family unhappiness and separation from relatives, so keep regular time with the people close to you and talk a strain through early; the engine's sentence asks for patience at home.
- Money: the reading names loss of money, so keep a reserve for the whole Ardha Ashtama Shani, 2 June 2027 to 16 April 2030, avoid large unsecured loans and read any contract twice.
- Pace: the engine's notes favour steadiness over new commitments and caution over pushing forward, so give a large new commitment time to be checked.

- Does the Ardha Ashtama Shani end when Saturn returns to Pisces on 21 October?
- No. Pisces is the 3rd from a Capricorn Moon, not the 4th, so the 125 days from 21 October 2027 to 22 February 2028 are a pause in a cycle that runs to 16 April 2030.
- Is 2027 a good or bad year for a Capricorn Moon?
- The engine and its sources give rules about positions, not verdicts on a year. Testing: Saturn in the 4th, 2 June to 21 October; Jupiter in the 8th, until 25 January and from 25 June to 26 November; Rahu in the 1st, all year. Favourable: Saturn in the 3rd, the rest of the year; Jupiter in the 7th and, from 26 November, the 9th. Neutral: Ketu in the 7th. The rest depends on the whole chart and the running dasha.
- Do the book and the engine agree on Rahu over the Moon sign?
- Yes. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) lists the Moon sign among Rahu's unfavourable positions, and the engine reads the 1st as testing.
- Why is Jupiter in the 7th only from 25 January to 25 June?
- Because the stay in Cancer, the 7th, is a retrograde step back from Leo, the 8th, where Jupiter turned retrograde on 13 December 2026.
