Saturn and Jupiter change sign five times in 2027: Saturn crosses from Pisces into Aries and back, and Jupiter crosses three times. Rahu stays in Capricorn and Ketu, opposite it, in Cancer. Counted from a Scorpio Moon, Saturn's two signs are the 5th and 6th houses, Jupiter's are the 9th, 10th and 11th, Rahu's is the 3rd and Ketu's the 9th.
This page reports positions and the engine's rules for them; it does not say what 2027 will bring to anyone with a Scorpio Moon. A transit is read against the natal Moon sign (the Moon sign calculator finds it) in the method called Gochara, and the Gochar calculator applies the same rules to any birth date on any day. 2027 dates: every sign change and station
The first table lists the five ingresses and three stations of Saturn and Jupiter in 2027. A station is the day a graha turns retrograde or direct (see vakri). Rahu and Ketu change no sign in 2027. Jupiter turned retrograde on 13 December 2026, at 2.82 degrees of Leo, which is why it moves back into Cancer on 25 January.

Dates are this app's computation and may differ from other software by hours to a day or two near an ingress. In India (UTC+5:30) Saturn's station of 9 August (19:06 UTC) falls on 10 August at 00:36, and Jupiter's entry into Leo of 25 June (18:14 UTC) is within an hour of midnight, at 23:44 the same day; the other six dates are the same there. The engine gives each graha a verdict by its house alone, counting the Moon sign as the 1st. The second table lists every stay in force during 2027 with its true start and end, and the dignity the engine computes for the sign with no birth chart (friendly or enemy is the natural relation only).

In India Saturn's station of 26 July 2026 (20:11 UTC) falls on 27 July, Jupiter's entry into Leo of 30 October 2026 (23:53 UTC) on 31 October, the Rahu and Ketu stay starts (18:59 UTC on 5 December 2026) on 6 December and ends (21:57 UTC on 23 June 2028) on 24 June; Saturn's final exit from Pisces on 22 February 2028 (18:19 UTC, 23:49 there) is within an hour of midnight, on the same date; the 25 June and 9 August times are given above.
No stay raises the engine's "intensified" flag, which pairs Saturn with the 1st, Jupiter with the 3rd, Ketu with the 2nd and Rahu with the 9th, or matches the Tamil palm-leaf pairings of Saturn in the 1st and Jupiter in the 3rd in Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 311). Each graha's passage is on Saturn transit for Scorpio Moon sign, Jupiter transit for Scorpio Moon sign and Rahu transit for Scorpio Moon sign.
What the texts add, and where the engine goes further
A search of BPHS and Saravali for "gochar" and "transit" finds no house-from-the-Moon rule for Saturn or Jupiter; both read transits through the Ashtakavarga (BPHS Ch. 66 Sl. 70-72 and Ch. 70 Sl. 43-44, Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 1 and 9-10). The engine's Rahu and Ketu verdicts are its own rule, cited to Kannan (Ch. XXXI), which is not in the corpus. For Rahu, Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) gives one counted from the Moon: good in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th "from Moon, Sun or Ascendant", unfavourable over the Moon sign and in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 12th. Rahu in the 3rd from a Scorpio Moon is good in the book and favourable in the engine. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 310) also lists Jupiter as good in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th from the Moon, which agrees with the engine on the 9th (25 January to 25 June) and the 11th (from 26 November) and has no 10th, which the engine also favours. It lists Saturn as good in the 3rd, 6th and 11th (p. 311), which agrees with the engine on the 6th (2 June to 21 October); it has no Moon-counted line for the 5th, which the engine reads as neutral.
Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 qualifies its Ashtakavarga transit rule by the sign: benefic results predominate in exaltation, own or friendly signs, malefic ones in debilitation or an enemy's sign. BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 49-50 puts Jupiter's exaltation in Cancer and Saturn's debilitation in Aries, so two stays fall in such signs: Jupiter in Cancer (25 January to 25 June, the 9th) and Saturn in Aries (2 June to 21 October, the 6th). The engine reads both stays as favourable, by house; the two tests are separate. For Jupiter's stay in Cancer Saravali Ch. 5 Sl. 14 adds a contrary view, held by some: a planet entering its exaltation sign in retrograde motion from the next sign, "for example Jupiter entering Cancer from Leo", gives no effect. The engine's Gochara verdict looks at the house only.
Saturn phases for a Scorpio Moon in 2027
No Saturn phase touches 2027 for a Scorpio Moon. Sade Sati is Saturn in Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius, Ashtama Shani is Saturn in Gemini and Ardha Ashtama Shani is Saturn in Aquarius; in 2027 Saturn is in Pisces and Aries only. In this app's computation the phase before the year, an Ardha Ashtama Shani, ended on 29 March 2025, and the first phase to begin after the year is an Ashtama Shani, from 30 May 2032 to 12 July 2034 (13 July in India). BPHS does not name these phases; they come from the later transit tradition. The Ashtama Shani is tabled on Ashtama Shani for Scorpio Moon sign; see also Ardha Ashtama Sani, Ashtama Sani, the Ashtama Sani calculator, Saturn in Aries and Rahu in Capricorn.
What to take care of
The engine marks none of the four testing at any point in 2027: Saturn is in the neutral 5th and the favourable 6th, Jupiter in the favourable 9th, 10th and 11th, Rahu in the favourable 3rd and Ketu in the neutral 9th. No source read for this page names an area of life that a 2027 position puts under strain, so this section has no warning to report. Besides the contrary view on Jupiter's stay in Cancer reported above, the one caution the sources attach is about a sign, not a house: Saturn spends 2 June to 21 October in Aries, its debilitation sign (BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 49-50), and Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10, within its Ashtakavarga rule, reads a transit through a debilitation sign as making malefic results greater and benefic ones ordinary. The engine reads that stay, the 6th, as favourable and does not look at the sign. Its notes for the favourable positions describe results that come through work: "real gains through direct effort" for Rahu in the 3rd, and "steady, disciplined progress" for Saturn in the 6th.
- Saturn in Aries: Saravali applies its sign rule inside its Ashtakavarga test, so read the stay from 2 June to 21 October with Saturn's own table rather than by the house verdict alone.

- Dates: Saturn turns retrograde in Aries on 9 August 2027 and re-enters Pisces, the 5th, on 21 October; in this app's computation it returns to Aries on 22 February 2028.
- Is there a Sade Sati, Ashtama Shani or Ardha Ashtama Shani for a Scorpio Moon in 2027?
- No. In this app's computation Saturn is in Pisces and Aries throughout 2027, the 5th and 6th from a Scorpio Moon. The last phase before the year ended on 29 March 2025, and the first to begin after it is an Ashtama Shani on 30 May 2032.
- Is 2027 a good or bad year for a Scorpio Moon?
- The engine and its sources give rules about positions, not verdicts on a year. The engine marks none of the four testing: Saturn is neutral in the 5th and favourable in the 6th, Jupiter is favourable in the 9th, 10th and 11th, Rahu is favourable in the 3rd and Ketu neutral in the 9th. A house verdict says nothing about the running dasha or the rest of the chart.
- Do the book and the engine agree on Rahu in the 3rd?
- Yes. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) lists the 3rd among Rahu's good houses from the Moon, and the engine reads it as favourable. Ketu in the 9th, neutral, is the engine's rule alone.
- Why mention Saravali's sign rule when no house is testing?
- Because it is the one rule in the sources read for this page that points to more malefic results in a 2027 stay. Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 reads transit results by the sign as well as the Ashtakavarga marks, and Saturn's stay in Aries, its debilitation sign, falls under it. The engine looks at the house only, so the rule is reported as the text's, not as an engine result.
