This page applies this app's investment muhurat rules to one month, November 2026. The Muhurat calculator and the Muhurat feature run an engine that scores three 90-minute windows a day, at 06:40, 09:15 and 15:30 IST, so November has 90. Of those, 30 have the Moon in a nakshatra the engine lists for investment, 22 overlap Rahu Kaal, and 4 pass all five general rules.
Investment windows in November 2026 that pass every general rule
| Date | Window (IST) | Moon nakshatra | Tithi, paksha |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wednesday 11 November 2026 | 6:40 AM to 8:10 AM | Anuradha | 2, Shukla |
| Wednesday 11 November 2026 | 9:15 AM to 10:45 AM | Anuradha | 2, Shukla |
| Monday 16 November 2026 | 9:15 AM to 10:45 AM | Shravana | 7, Shukla |
| Monday 16 November 2026 | 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM | Shravana | 7, Shukla |
No other window passes every rule. Another 16 windows miss by exactly one factor:
| The one factor that fails | Windows in November 2026 (IST) |
|---|---|
| Nakshatra not on the list: 7 | 9 Nov, 3:30 PM; 11 Nov, 3:30 PM; 12 Nov, all three; 19 Nov, 9:15 AM and 3:30 PM |
| Dark half (Krishna paksha): 6 | 5 Nov, all three; 25 Nov, all three |
| Weekday not on the list: 2 | 15 Nov, 6:40 and 9:15 AM |
| Overlaps Rahu Kaal: 1 | 16 Nov, 6:40 AM |
| Tithi on the avoided list: 0 | None |
How the days are chosen: the five general rules
A window "passes every rule" when all five are favourable: the Moon's nakshatra, tithi and paksha at the window's start, Rahu Kaal and the weekday, the same for every reader.
| Rule | On the list for an investment in this engine | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Moon nakshatra | Rohini, Pushya, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Chitra, Anuradha, Uttara Ashadha, Shravana or Dhanishta | The engine's list; no text in the library holds it. |
| Tithi | Not the 4th, 8th, 9th or 14th tithi of either half (engine count 1 to 30: 4, 8, 9, 14 and 19, 23, 24, 29) | The engine's list. Its comment calls 4, 9, 14 (and 19, 24, 29) the Rikta tithis and 8 and 23 Ashtami, and says no source book lists tithis to avoid. BPHS Ch. 89 Sl. 1-7 asks for no Rikta-Bhadra Dosha but does not say which tithis are Rikta. |
| Paksha | Shukla, the waxing Moon | BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 11 and Saravali Ch. 4 Sl. 9 call the waning Moon a malefic; Saravali Ch. 4 Sl. 36 has benefics strong in the bright half. Reading that as good for a beginning is the engine's step. |
| Weekday | Monday, Wednesday or Thursday | The engine's list; no citation. |
| Rahu Kaal | The window does not overlap it | The engine's weekday table, after Drik Panchang as its comment records. No text in the library mentions Rahu Kaal. |
That counts factors on the engine's lists; it is not the engine's score and not a ruling from any text. BPHS Ch. 89 Sl. 1-7, the one passage that sets general conditions for a muhurta, is written for a different rite and names no tithi or nakshatra. Two personal factors, the Moon's house from your ascendant and your Personal Day number, are added only in the calculator and the in-app feature; its investment house list (2, 5, 8, 11) cites no book either.
What the texts say about investing, and the junction check
A search of BPHS, Saravali, Daivajna Vallabha, the Bhrigu Sutras and Advanced Predictive Astrology found no muhurat rule, and no list of nakshatras, tithis or weekdays, for investing; the engine's lists stand alone. Two nearby texts are not rules for these windows. Saravali Ch. 7 Sl. 5-6 says the good effects of a bhava can be better reaped if an enterprise relating to it starts on the weekday, hora, month or year ruled by that bhava's lord. BPHS Ch. 11 lists what houses signify: wealth under the 2nd (Sl. 3), income and prosperity under the 11th (Sl. 12). The engine's comment adds speculation or returns under the 5th and others' money under the 8th, but Sl. 6's list for the 5th has neither and Sl. 9's list for the 8th includes "wealth of the dead" but not investment. Its 8th-house entry is also a quirk: the list is checked before the penalty for the 6th, 8th and 12th, so a Moon in the 8th scores as supportive.
The other text is gandanta. BPHS Ch. 92 Sl. 1 reads birth, travel and auspicious functions such as marriage at a junction of tithis, nakshatras or lagnas as inauspicious; this site does not repeat the outcome it names. An investment is not among its examples, so the check below is a fact about the windows, not a rule for one. Sl. 2 puts tithi junctions at the last two ghatikas of tithis 5, 10, 15 and the first two of 1, 6, 11, which this page reads within each half (engine count: 20, 25, 30 and 16, 21, 26). Sl. 3 puts nakshatra junctions between Revati and Ashwini, Ashlesha and Magha, Jyeshtha and Mula. A ghati is 24 minutes (Ch. 5 Sl. 6-8), so two is 48. The engine tests none of this, but none of its investment nakshatras is a junction nakshatra, so a nakshatra span can touch a window only if that window already misses the nakshatra rule.
The four windows keep one nakshatra and one tithi throughout, and none overlaps or comes within an hour of a junction span. Among the near misses, 12 November at 3:30 PM opens 22 minutes after Mula's two-ghatika span ends (about 15:08 IST), but inside Sl. 5's wider Abhukta Mula span (Mula's first eight ghatikas, to about 17:32). A panchang computed for your city can place that change some minutes differently, which is worth checking for a window this close.
Worked example: the same month ranked for one reference chart
With the two personal factors added, this app's engine ranks the month for a fixed reference chart (1985-01-01 06:00 IST, New Delhi, 28.6139 N, 77.2090 E); these five are that chart's alone. The engine labels the first Excellent and the rest Good, bands that start at scores of 78 and 62.
| Score | Window (IST) | The engine's reasons, shortened | General rules missed |
|---|---|---|---|
| 78 | Thursday 5 November, 3:30 PM | Uttara Phalguni; Moon 11th house; Personal Day 1 | Dark half |
| 75 | Monday 16 November, 3:30 PM | Shravana; Shukla; Personal Day 3 | None |
| 75 | Monday 16 November, 9:15 AM | Same as the row above | None |
| 70 | Saturday 7 November, 6:40 AM | Chitra; Moon 11th house; Personal Day 3 | Dark half and weekday |
| 67 | Wednesday 11 November, 9:15 AM | Anuradha; Shukla | None |
Two of the five miss a rule, yet 5 November leads and 7 November outranks the 11 November window that passes every rule. Both have the Moon in this chart's 11th house, which is on the investment list; the 16 November and 11 November windows have no Moon-house line. The business-launch run reads the Moon in this chart's 3rd house on 16 November and its 1st on 11 November, houses the launch list includes and the investment list does not, so here the house adds nothing either way.
Limits: what these windows cannot tell you
- This page is not financial advice and compares no product. Choosing a window does not change an investment's risk or charges.
- Three windows a day is a sample: a nakshatra or tithi changes inside the 90 minutes in 12 of the 90. The panchang and Choghadiya calculators divide the whole day.
- Times are IST, with the Moon and tithi read at each window's start and Rahu Kaal on a fixed 06:00 to 18:00 grid, so a sunrise-based panchang can differ; the Rahu Kaal calculator uses real local sunrise from a place.
- No window, whether it passes every rule or not, is a promise about an investment. The Muhurat calculator adds your chart's personal factors for the next 30 days; the December 2026 page applies these rules to the next month.
- Is a window that passes every rule a good time to invest?
- That is not a claim this page makes. It means five factors are on the favourable side of this app's lists; it says nothing about any asset, amount or return.
- Why is Friday not on the investment weekday list?
- The engine's list is Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and cites no text, so this page has no source to explain it. The business-launch and new-job lists include Friday; all four Fridays in November (6, 13, 20, 27) miss the weekday rule here.
- Why does the engine count the Moon in the 8th house as supportive for investment?
- The 8th is on the investment house list, and that list is checked before the penalty for the 6th, 8th and 12th, so the penalty never reaches it. The list cites no book.
- Why does no window from 17 to 30 November pass every rule?
- Five windows in that stretch miss by exactly one rule: 19 November at 9:15 AM and 3:30 PM on the nakshatra list, and all three on 25 November in the dark half. The rest miss two or more.

What it needs
Date, time and place + What the muhurat is for
That is more than this article asks for - it only ever takes a date, and sometimes a time, and never a name or a birth place. So this one runs on its own page, which asks for exactly what it needs and stores none of it.
