In short

Of the 93 windows this app samples in December 2026, two pass every general investment rule: 9:15 AM and 3:30 PM IST on Monday 14 December. Each has a nakshatra on the engine's list, an unavoided tithi, the waxing Moon, a listed weekday and no Rahu Kaal overlap. This is a filter on five general factors, not a score, not financial advice and not a promise.

This page applies this app's investment muhurat rules to December 2026. The engine behind the Muhurat calculator and the Muhurat feature scores three 90-minute windows a day, at 06:40, 09:15 and 15:30 IST, so December has 93. Of those, 35 have a nakshatra the engine lists for investment, 21 overlap Rahu Kaal, and 2 pass every general rule. It is not financial advice.

This app's muhurat engine (a check script), run 2026-10-22. Nakshatra and tithi are read at each window's start.

The 9:15 AM window opens two minutes after the Moon passes from Shravana into Dhanishta (09:13 IST); both are on the investment list, so the nakshatra rule holds either way. No other window passes every rule; another 23 miss by exactly one factor:

How the days are chosen: the five general factors

A window "passes every rule" when all five are favourable: the Moon's nakshatra, tithi and paksha at the window's start, Rahu Kaal and the weekday. That counts factors on the engine's lists; it is neither the engine's score nor a ruling from any text.

RuleOn the list for investment in this engineWhere it comes from
Moon nakshatraRohini, Pushya, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Chitra, Anuradha, Uttara Ashadha, Shravana or DhanishtaThe engine's list; no text in the library holds it.
TithiNot the 4th, 8th, 9th or 14th tithi of either half (the engine counts 1 to 30: 4, 8, 9, 14 in the bright half, 19, 23, 24, 29 in the dark half)The engine's list. Its comment calls 4, 9, 14 (and 19, 24, 29) Rikta and 8 and 23 Ashtami, and says no source book lists tithis to avoid. BPHS Ch. 89 Sl. 1-7, written for a different rite, asks for a day without Rikta-Bhadra Dosha but does not say which tithis are Rikta.
PakshaShukla, the waxing MoonBPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 11 and Saravali Ch. 4 Sl. 9 call the waning Moon a malefic; Saravali Ch. 4 Sl. 36 has benefics strong in the bright half. Reading that as good for a beginning is the engine's step.
WeekdayMonday, Wednesday or ThursdayThe engine's list; no citation.
Rahu KaalThe window does not overlap itThe engine's weekday table, after Drik Panchang as its comment records. No text in the library mentions Rahu Kaal.
The engine's lists, read from its code.

Two personal factors, the Moon's house from your ascendant (or Moon sign) and your Personal Day number, are added only in the calculator and the in-app feature. The engine's investment house list (2, 5, 8, 11) cites no book and counts the 8th as supportive: the engine penalises a Moon in the 6th, 8th or 12th but checks the supportive list first.

What the texts say about investing, and the junction check

A search of BPHS, Saravali, Daivajna Vallabha, the Bhrigu Sutras and Advanced Predictive Astrology found no muhurat rule, and no list of nakshatras, tithis or weekdays, for investing money. Saravali Ch. 7 Sl. 5-6 comes nearest and works chart by chart: an enterprise of a bhava does better on the weekday, hora, month or year of that bhava's lord. BPHS Ch. 11 says what houses signify, not when to act: wealth under the 2nd (Sl. 3), income and prosperity under the 11th (Sl. 12); that both are on the engine's list is this page's observation. The engine's code comment glosses the 5th as speculation or returns and the 8th as other people's money, and cites no verse for any of its four houses.

The other text is gandanta. BPHS Ch. 92 Sl. 1 reads birth, travel and auspicious functions such as marriage at a junction of tithis, nakshatras or lagnas as inauspicious; this site does not repeat the outcome it names. An investment is not among its examples, so the check below is a fact about the windows, not a rule for one. Sl. 2 puts the tithi junctions at the last two ghatikas of tithis 5, 10 and 15 and the first two of tithis 1, 6 and 11; this page reads those numbers within each half of the month (20, 25, 30 and 16, 21, 26 in the engine's 1-30 count). Sl. 3 puts the nakshatra junctions between Revati and Ashwini, Ashlesha and Magha, Jyeshtha and Mula. A ghati is 24 minutes (Ch. 5 Sl. 6-8), so two is 48. The engine tests none of this.

On the engine's change times, both passing windows keep one nakshatra and one tithi throughout and overlap no 48-minute span; only 4 of the 93 windows do. The 3:30 PM window ends 90 minutes before the last 48 minutes of Shukla 5 begin (6:30 PM). The Moon crosses the Jyeshtha-Mula junction at 21:02 IST on 9 December, and Sl. 5 names a wider span at this junction, Abhukta Mula (the last six ghatikas of Jyeshtha and the first eight of Mula); it runs from about 18:38 IST on 9 December to 00:14 on 10 December. No listed window falls inside it. Of the 25 windows that pass or miss by one rule, 22 keep one nakshatra and one tithi throughout and two overlap a 48-minute span: 9 and 24 December, 6:40 AM, both nakshatra-only misses.

Worked example: the same month ranked for one reference chart

With the two personal factors added, the engine ranks the month for a fixed reference chart (1985-01-01 06:00 IST, New Delhi, 28.6139 N, 77.2090 E). These five are that chart's alone.

None of the five passes every rule: one misses the weekday rule and four the dark-half rule. The Moon is in the 2nd or the 11th house in all five, both on the investment list, and Personal Day 9 adds support to each. The 14 December windows that pass every rule are not among them: for this chart the Moon is then in the 3rd house, which the list leaves out, and the Personal Day is 2, which adds no support.

Limits: what these windows cannot tell you

  • This page is not financial advice and does not say what to buy or whether to invest. Choosing a window does not change an investment's risk or charges.
  • Three windows a day is a sample: 13 of December's 93 change nakshatra or tithi inside their 90 minutes. Times are IST and Rahu Kaal sits on a fixed 06:00 to 18:00 grid, so a sunrise-based panchang can differ; the panchang, Choghadiya and Rahu Kaal calculators cover the whole day or a place.
  • No window, whether it passes every rule or not, is a promise about returns. The Muhurat calculator takes your birth date, time, place and one activity and returns the top three windows of the 30 days from the day you use it. See also November 2026 and January 2027.
Why are the 14 December windows the only ones that pass every rule?
Of the 35 windows with a listed nakshatra, 13 are in the bright half. Eleven of those miss the weekday, tithi or Rahu Kaal rule; the other two are the 14 December windows.
Is Friday left off the investment weekday list on purpose?
The engine lists Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for investment, cites no text and gives no reason; its other five activities all include Friday. In December 2026 no Friday window misses only that rule.
Does a Moon in the 8th house count as good for investing?
In the calculator and the in-app feature it does, because the engine checks its supportive house list before it penalises the 6th, 8th and 12th. That list cites no book, and this page does not endorse it.
Is a window that passes every rule a reason to invest?
No. It means five factors are on the favourable side of this app's lists. This page does not say what to buy, and no window is a promise about returns.

Date, time and place + What the muhurat is for

That is more than this article asks for - it only ever takes a date, and sometimes a time, and never a name or a birth place. So this one runs on its own page, which asks for exactly what it needs and stores none of it.
