Between them Saturn and Jupiter change sign five times in 2027: Saturn crosses from Pisces into Aries and back, and Jupiter crosses three times. Rahu stays in Capricorn and Ketu, always opposite it, in Cancer. Counted from an Aries Moon, Saturn's two signs are the 12th and 1st houses, Jupiter's are the 4th, 5th and 6th, Rahu's is the 10th and Ketu's the 4th.

2027 dates: every sign change and station
The first table lists the five ingresses and three stations of Saturn and Jupiter in 2027. A station is the day a graha turns retrograde or direct (see vakri). Rahu and Ketu change no sign in 2027. Jupiter turned retrograde on 13 December 2026, at 2.82 degrees of Leo, which is why it moves back into Cancer on 25 January.

Dates are this app's computation and may differ from other software by hours to a day or two near an ingress. In India (UTC+5:30) Saturn's retrograde station, at 19:06 UTC on 9 August, falls on 10 August at 00:36, and Jupiter's entry into Leo, at 18:14 UTC on 25 June, falls within an hour of midnight, at 23:44 the same day; the other six dates are the same there. From an Aries Moon: the house and the engine's reading
Counting the Moon sign as the 1st house, the engine gives each graha a verdict by its house alone. The second table lists every stay in force during 2027 with its true start and end, even outside the year, and the dignity the engine computes for the sign with no birth chart (friendly or enemy is the natural relation only).

In India Jupiter's entry into Leo on 30 October 2026 (23:53 UTC) falls on 31 October, the start of the Rahu and Ketu stay (18:59 UTC on 5 December 2026) on 6 December, and its end (21:57 UTC on 23 June 2028) on 24 June; Saturn's final exit from Pisces on 22 February 2028 (18:19 UTC, 23:49 there) falls within an hour of midnight, on the same date, like Jupiter's 25 June change above.
To read the tables on one day, take 15 March 2027: Saturn is in Pisces, the 12th (testing), Jupiter in Cancer, the 4th (testing), Rahu in the 10th (neutral) and Ketu in the 4th (testing). Whenever Saturn is in the 1st, from 2 June to 21 October, the engine also raises its "intensified" flag, because its table pairs Saturn with that house; Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 311) gives the same pairing from a Tamil palm-leaf reading. Saturn's passage house by house is on Saturn transit for Aries Moon sign, Jupiter's on Jupiter transit for Aries Moon sign and Rahu's on Rahu transit for Aries Moon sign.
What the texts add, and where the engine goes further
A search of BPHS and Saravali for "gochar" and "transit" finds no house-from-the-Moon rule for Saturn or Jupiter. Both read transits through the Ashtakavarga instead (BPHS Ch. 66 Sl. 70-72 and Ch. 70 Sl. 43-44, Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 1 and 9-10). The engine's Rahu and Ketu verdicts are its own rule, cited to Kannan (Ch. XXXI), which is not in the corpus. For Rahu, Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) gives one counted from the Moon: good in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th "from Moon, Sun or Ascendant", unfavourable over the Moon sign and in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 12th. Rahu in the 10th from an Aries Moon is good in the book and neutral in the engine. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, pp. 310-311) lists Jupiter as good in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th from the Moon: the engine agrees on the 5th, and the list has no 4th, where the engine reads Jupiter as testing. Advanced Predictive Astrology lists Saturn as good in the 3rd, 6th and 11th, and counts the 12th and 1st as the first two parts of Sade Sati (p. 311).
Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 qualifies its Ashtakavarga transit rule by the sign: benefic results predominate in exaltation, own or friendly signs, malefic ones in debilitation or an enemy's sign. BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 49-50 puts Jupiter's exaltation in Cancer and Saturn's debilitation in Aries, so two stays fall in such signs: Jupiter in Cancer from 25 January to 25 June, and Saturn in Aries from 2 June to 21 October. Saravali Ch. 5 Sl. 14 adds a contrary view, held by some: a planet that enters its exaltation sign in retrograde motion from the next sign, "for example Jupiter entering Cancer from Leo", gives no effect. Jupiter does exactly that on 25 January. The engine's Gochara verdict looks at the house only, not the sign.
Sade Sati for an Aries Moon in 2027
The one Saturn phase that touches 2027 for an Aries Moon is Sade Sati, whose cycle runs from 29 March 2025 to 30 May 2032 in this app's computation, with no break in it. Within the year Saturn is in Pisces, the 12th (the rising phase), until 2 June; in Aries, over the Moon sign (the peak phase), from 2 June to 21 October, 141 days; and in Pisces again from 21 October. It returns to Aries on 22 February 2028, so the peak is made of three stays, 864 days in all. No Ashtama Shani or Ardha Ashtama Shani for this Moon sign touches the year. BPHS does not name Sade Sati; the term comes from the later transit tradition, and Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 312) quotes a North Indian school that rates the middle two and a half years of an Aries Moon's Sade Sati as the adverse ones. The book counts years, not signs; this page reads the middle two and a half years as the peak phase. What to take care of
Saturn stands in a house the engine marks testing on every day of 2027: the 12th from an Aries Moon until 2 June, the 1st from 2 June to 21 October, and the 12th again from 21 October to 22 February 2028; Ketu is in the 4th, also testing, all year, and Jupiter joins it there from 25 January to 25 June. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, pp. 311-312) reads Saturn's passage through the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the Moon as bringing "unpleasant situations and circumstances", and names depression and lack of interest; trouble concentrating on studies; delays, a disliked transfer and quarrels with seniors or juniors in a career just begun; financial loss; and tension and travel. The book's list goes on to graver events and to named people's lives; this page leaves those out, as this app does not forecast such events. Advanced Predictive Astrology's reading covers the whole Sade Sati; in 2027 the engine marks every Saturn stay testing too. Phaladeepika Ch. 26 Sl. 9, as quoted in Advanced Predictive Astrology (p. 312), ties Saturn's passage through the Janma Rasi, here 2 June to 21 October, to fatigue, loss of wealth and anger. For the 4th the engine's note says only that "steadiness serves better than new commitments here".
- Money: keep a reserve for the whole Sade Sati, which runs to 30 May 2032, avoid large unsecured loans and read any contract twice.
- Work and study: put targets in writing, raise a disagreement with a senior early and calmly, and think a transfer through before accepting it.
- Health and travel: for the fatigue Phaladeepika names, book the check-up you have been postponing and keep rest regular, above all from 2 June to 21 October; drive with care on long trips and keep documents safe when travelling. This is not a diagnosis - see a doctor for any symptom.
- Commitments: with Ketu in the 4th all year, and Jupiter there too from 25 January to 25 June, give a large new commitment a second look.

- When does Saturn change sign in 2027?
- In this app's computation Saturn enters Aries on 2 June 2027, turns retrograde there on 9 August and re-enters Pisces on 21 October. It turns direct on 24 December and returns to Aries on 22 February 2028.
- Is Sade Sati running for the whole of 2027 for an Aries Moon?
- Yes. In this app's computation the cycle has no break from 29 March 2025 to 30 May 2032, so on every day of 2027 Saturn is in the 12th or the 1st from the Moon.
- Is 2027 a good or bad year for an Aries Moon?
- The engine and its sources give rules about positions, not verdicts on a year. Saturn and Ketu are in testing houses throughout, and Jupiter is testing from 25 January to 25 June. What that means for one person depends on the whole chart and the running dasha.
- Does Saturn being debilitated in Aries change the engine's reading?
- No. The Gochara verdict looks at the house only. Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 does qualify its Ashtakavarga rule by the sign, and this page reports that as the text's rule, not as an engine result.
