In plain words
- A new, more serious chapter opens mid-year, so build calm routines early.
- Saturn's 7½-year phase (Sade Sati) begins for you in June, then pauses in October when Saturn steps back. Saturn (discipline, responsibility, patience) is in your 11th house (gains and friends) for most of the year and visits your 12th house (expenses, rest and letting go) for a few months mid-year. The first usually feels supportive; the second tends to ask for patience.
- Jupiter (growth, guidance) starts in your 4th house (home and inner peace), moves to your 3rd house (courage and effort) until mid-year, goes back to the 4th for a few months, then on to your 5th house (creativity and studies) for the end of the year. Rahu (ambition, restlessness) stays in your 9th house (luck, beliefs and teachers) all year and Ketu (detachment, letting go) in your 3rd house (courage and effort). Rahu is fairly neutral, and Ketu usually feels supportive.
- In daily life, you may feel the year as steady effort, with shifts in two areas. These are gains and friends and courage and effort.
- Why: The year is read by counting from your Moon sign (Taurus) as your 1st house. The house each slow planet falls in decides which area of life it touches. Saturn stands for discipline, responsibility and patience, Jupiter for growth and guidance, and Rahu and Ketu for ambition and letting go.
- Start steady habits now: savings, regular sleep and one trusted person to talk to.
- This describes tendencies for everyone with this Moon sign, not a forecast of events for you. Your own chart and your choices matter more.
In 2027 Saturn crosses from Pisces into Aries and back, and Jupiter changes sign three times, five sign changes in all. Rahu stays in Capricorn and Ketu, always opposite it, in Cancer. Counted from a Taurus Moon, Saturn's signs are the 11th and 12th houses, Jupiter's are the 3rd, 4th and 5th, Rahu's is the 9th and Ketu's the 3rd.
This page reports positions and the rules the engine applies to them. It does not say what 2027 will bring to anyone with a Taurus Moon. A transit is read against the natal Moon sign (the Moon sign calculator finds it) in the method called Gochara, and the Gochar calculator applies the same rules to a birth date on any day you choose. The sign itself is described in Taurus, Vrishabha rashi.
2027 dates: every sign change and station
The first table lists the five ingresses and three stations of Saturn and Jupiter in 2027. A station is the day a graha turns retrograde or direct (see vakri). Rahu and Ketu change no sign in 2027. Jupiter turned retrograde on 13 December 2026, at 2.82 degrees of Leo, which is why it moves back into Cancer on 25 January.
| Date (UTC) | Graha and event | Sign | House from a Taurus Moon | Engine verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25 Jan 2027 | Jupiter enters Cancer (retrograde, from Leo) | Cancer | 3rd | Neutral, intensified |
| 13 Apr 2027 | Jupiter turns direct, at 22.79 degrees of Cancer | Cancer | 3rd | Neutral, intensified |
| 2 Jun 2027 | Saturn enters Aries (from Pisces) | Aries | 12th | Testing |
| 25 Jun 2027 | Jupiter enters Leo (from Cancer) | Leo | 4th | Testing |
| 9 Aug 2027 | Saturn turns retrograde, at 3.71 degrees of Aries | Aries | 12th | Testing |
| 21 Oct 2027 | Saturn re-enters Pisces (retrograde, from Aries) | Pisces | 11th | Favourable |
| 26 Nov 2027 | Jupiter enters Virgo (from Leo) | Virgo | 5th | Favourable |
| 24 Dec 2027 | Saturn turns direct, at 26.85 degrees of Pisces | Pisces | 11th | Favourable |
Dates are this app's computation and may differ from other software by hours to a day or two near an ingress. In India (UTC+5:30) Saturn's retrograde station, at 19:06 UTC on 9 August, falls on 10 August at 00:36, and Jupiter's entry into Leo, at 18:14 UTC on 25 June, falls within an hour of midnight, at 23:44 the same day; the other six dates are the same there. Station detail is on Saturn retrograde 2026-2028 and Jupiter retrograde 2026-2028.
From a Taurus Moon: the house and the engine's reading
Counting the Moon sign as the 1st house, the engine gives each graha a verdict by its house alone. The second table lists every stay in force during 2027 with its true start and end, even outside the year, and the dignity the engine computes for the sign with no birth chart (friendly or enemy is the natural relation only).
| Graha | Sign | Stay (UTC) | House | Engine verdict | Dignity and flags |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Saturn | Pisces | 29 Mar 2025 to 2 Jun 2027 | 11th | Favourable | Neutral |
| Saturn | Aries | 2 Jun to 21 Oct 2027 | 12th | Testing | Debilitated; retrograde from 9 Aug |
| Saturn | Pisces | 21 Oct 2027 to 22 Feb 2028 | 11th | Favourable | Neutral |
| Jupiter | Leo | 30 Oct 2026 to 25 Jan 2027 | 4th | Testing | Friendly sign; retrograde from 13 Dec 2026 |
| Jupiter | Cancer | 25 Jan to 25 Jun 2027 | 3rd | Neutral, intensified | Exalted; retrograde until 13 Apr |
| Jupiter | Leo | 25 Jun to 26 Nov 2027 | 4th | Testing | Friendly sign |
| Jupiter | Virgo | 26 Nov 2027 to 29 Feb 2028 | 5th | Favourable | Enemy sign |
| Rahu | Capricorn | 5 Dec 2026 to 23 Jun 2028 | 9th | Neutral, intensified | None for the nodes |
| Ketu | Cancer | 5 Dec 2026 to 23 Jun 2028 | 3rd | Favourable | None for the nodes |
In India Jupiter's entry into Leo on 30 October 2026 (23:53 UTC) falls on 31 October, the start of the Rahu and Ketu stay (18:59 UTC on 5 December 2026) on 6 December, and its end (21:57 UTC on 23 June 2028) on 24 June; Saturn's final exit from Pisces on 22 February 2028 (18:19 UTC, 23:49 there) falls within an hour of midnight, on the same date, like Jupiter's 25 June change above.
To read the tables on one day, take 15 March 2027: Saturn is in Pisces, the 11th (favourable), Jupiter in Cancer, the 3rd (neutral), Rahu in the 9th (neutral) and Ketu in the 3rd (favourable). Jupiter in the 3rd and Rahu in the 9th also raise the engine's "intensified" flag, because its table pairs each graha with one house. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 311) gives a Tamil palm-leaf list of such pairings that includes Jupiter in the 3rd and no node, and says each makes bad results more intense; the Rahu pairing is the engine's alone. Each graha's passage house by house is on Saturn transit for Taurus Moon sign, Jupiter transit for Taurus Moon sign and Rahu transit for Taurus Moon sign.
What the texts add, and where the engine goes further
A search of BPHS and Saravali for "gochar" and "transit" finds no house-from-the-Moon rule for Saturn or Jupiter. Both read transits through the Ashtakavarga instead (BPHS Ch. 66 Sl. 70-72 and Ch. 70 Sl. 43-44, Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 1 and 9-10). The engine's Rahu and Ketu verdicts are its own rule, cited to Kannan (Ch. XXXI), which is not in the corpus. For Rahu, Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) gives one counted from the Moon: good in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th "from Moon, Sun or Ascendant", unfavourable over the Moon sign and in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 12th. The 9th, where Rahu stands from a Taurus Moon, is in neither list; the engine reads it as neutral. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, pp. 310-311) lists Jupiter as good in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th from the Moon: the engine agrees on the 5th, where Jupiter stands from 26 November, and the list has no 3rd or 4th. Advanced Predictive Astrology lists Saturn as good in the 3rd, 6th and 11th, which agrees with the engine on the 11th, and counts the 12th, which Saturn enters on 2 June, as the first part of Sade Sati (p. 311).
Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 qualifies its Ashtakavarga transit rule by the sign: benefic results predominate in exaltation, own or friendly signs, malefic ones in debilitation or an enemy's sign. BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 49-50 puts Jupiter's exaltation in Cancer and Saturn's debilitation in Aries, so two stays fall in such signs: Jupiter in Cancer from 25 January to 25 June, and Saturn in Aries from 2 June to 21 October. For Jupiter's stay Saravali Ch. 5 Sl. 14 adds a contrary view, held by some: a planet that enters its exaltation sign in retrograde motion from the next sign, "for example Jupiter entering Cancer from Leo", gives no effect. The engine's Gochara verdict looks at the house only, not the sign.
Sade Sati for a Taurus Moon in 2027
The one Saturn phase that touches 2027 for a Taurus Moon is Sade Sati, and the year holds its start. In this app's computation the cycle begins on 2 June 2027, when Saturn enters Aries, the 12th from the Moon (the rising phase), and ends on 12 July 2034, which is 13 July in India. Saturn stays in Aries until 21 October, 141 days. It then re-enters Pisces, the 11th, and the cycle pauses for 125 days, until Saturn returns to Aries on 22 February 2028; the rising phase as a whole is three stays, 864 days. No Ashtama Shani or Ardha Ashtama Shani touches the year. BPHS does not name Sade Sati; the term comes from the later transit tradition, and Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 312) quotes a North Indian school that rates the first two and a half years of a Taurus Moon's Sade Sati as the adverse ones. The book counts years, not signs; this page reads the first two and a half years as the rising phase. The stays are tabled on Sade Sati for Taurus Moon sign; see also Sade Sati, its glossary entry, the Sade Sati calculator and Saturn in Aries.
What to take care of
Two grahas stand in houses the engine marks testing in 2027: Saturn in the 12th from a Taurus Moon, from 2 June to 21 October, and Jupiter in the 4th, from 1 January to 25 January and from 25 June to 26 November. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, pp. 311-312) reads Saturn's passage through the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the Moon as bringing "unpleasant situations and circumstances", and names depression and lack of interest; trouble concentrating on studies; delays, a disliked transfer and quarrels with seniors or juniors in a career just begun; financial loss; and tension and travel. The book's list goes on to graver events and to named people's lives; this page leaves those out, as this app does not forecast such events. Advanced Predictive Astrology's reading covers the whole Sade Sati, 2 June 2027 to 12 July 2034, while within 2027 the engine's testing verdict covers only Saturn's stay in Aries. For the 4th the engine's note says only that "steadiness serves better than new commitments here", and neither it nor the "intensified" pairings on Jupiter in the 3rd and Rahu in the 9th name an area of life.
- Money: once the Sade Sati begins on 2 June 2027, keep a reserve, avoid large unsecured loans and read any contract twice.
- Work and study: agree targets in writing, raise a disagreement with a senior early and calmly, and think a transfer through before accepting it.
- Travel: the book names tension and travel, so drive with care on long trips, keep documents safe when travelling and leave some slack in your plans.
- Commitments: in the months Jupiter is in the 4th, give a large new commitment a second look.
- Mind: if you feel low for more than two weeks, talk to someone you trust or call Tele-MANAS 14416 (free, 24x7, India).
- When does Sade Sati start for a Taurus Moon?
- In this app's computation on 2 June 2027, when Saturn enters Aries, the 12th from the Moon. The cycle ends on 12 July 2034 (13 July in India).
- Does Sade Sati end when Saturn goes back into Pisces on 21 October 2027?
- No, it pauses. Pisces is the 11th from a Taurus Moon, outside the three signs of the cycle, and Saturn returns to Aries on 22 February 2028, 125 days later.
- Is 2027 a good or bad year for a Taurus Moon?
- The engine and its sources give rules about positions, not verdicts on a year. Saturn is in the favourable 11th for most of it and the testing 12th from 2 June to 21 October; Jupiter is in the testing 4th from 1 to 25 January and from 25 June to 26 November. What that means for one person depends on the whole chart and the running dasha.
- Why is Jupiter in the 3rd both neutral and intensified?
- The engine gives the verdict by the house, and the 3rd is neutral for Jupiter. The flag is separate: a table of pairings that make difficult results more intense, which pairs Jupiter with the 3rd. It is raised from 25 January to 25 June.
