Five sign changes fall in 2027, all by Saturn and Jupiter: Saturn goes from Pisces into Aries and back, and Jupiter changes sign three times. Rahu stays in Capricorn, with Ketu opposite it in Cancer. Counted from a Gemini Moon, Saturn's signs are the 10th and 11th houses, Jupiter's are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th, Rahu's is the 8th and Ketu's the 2nd.
This page reports positions and the rules the engine applies to them. It does not say what 2027 will bring to anyone with a Gemini Moon. A transit is read against the natal Moon sign (the Moon sign calculator finds it) in the method called Gochara, and the Gochar calculator applies the same rules to a birth date on any day you choose. 2027 dates: every sign change and station
The first table lists the five ingresses and three stations of Saturn and Jupiter in 2027. A station is the day a graha turns retrograde or direct (see vakri). Rahu and Ketu change no sign in 2027. Jupiter turned retrograde on 13 December 2026, at 2.82 degrees of Leo, which is why it moves back into Cancer on 25 January.

Dates are this app's computation and may differ from other software by hours to a day or two near an ingress. In India (UTC+5:30) Saturn's retrograde station, at 19:06 UTC on 9 August, falls on 10 August at 00:36, and Jupiter's entry into Leo, at 18:14 UTC on 25 June, falls within an hour of midnight, at 23:44 the same day; the other six dates are the same there. From a Gemini Moon: the house and the engine's reading
Counting the Moon sign as the 1st house, the engine gives each graha a verdict by its house alone. The second table lists every stay in force during 2027 with its true start and end, even outside the year, and the dignity the engine computes for the sign with no birth chart (friendly or enemy is the natural relation only).

In India Jupiter's entry into Leo on 30 October 2026 (23:53 UTC) falls on 31 October, the start of the Rahu and Ketu stay (18:59 UTC on 5 December 2026) on 6 December, and its end (21:57 UTC on 23 June 2028) on 24 June; Saturn's final exit from Pisces on 22 February 2028 (18:19 UTC, 23:49 there) falls within an hour of midnight, on the same date, like Jupiter's 25 June change above.
To read the tables on one day, take 15 July 2027: Saturn is in Aries, the 11th (favourable), Jupiter in Leo, the 3rd (neutral), Rahu in the 8th (testing) and Ketu in the 2nd (favourable). Jupiter in the 3rd and Ketu in the 2nd also raise the engine's "intensified" flag, because its table pairs each graha with one house. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 311) gives a Tamil palm-leaf list of such pairings that includes Jupiter in the 3rd and no node, and says each makes bad results more intense; the Ketu pairing is the engine's alone. Each graha's passage house by house is on Saturn transit for Gemini Moon sign, Jupiter transit for Gemini Moon sign and Rahu transit for Gemini Moon sign.
What the texts add, and where the engine goes further
A search of BPHS and Saravali for "gochar" and "transit" finds no house-from-the-Moon rule for Saturn or Jupiter. Both read transits through the Ashtakavarga instead (BPHS Ch. 66 Sl. 70-72 and Ch. 70 Sl. 43-44, Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 1 and 9-10). The engine's Rahu and Ketu verdicts are its own rule, cited to Kannan (Ch. XXXI), which is not in the corpus. For Rahu, Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) gives one counted from the Moon: good in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th "from Moon, Sun or Ascendant", unfavourable over the Moon sign and in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 12th. On Rahu in the 8th from a Gemini Moon the book and the engine agree. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, pp. 310-311) lists Jupiter as good in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th from the Moon, which agrees with the engine on the 2nd, where Jupiter stands from 25 January to 25 June; its list has no 3rd or 4th. Advanced Predictive Astrology lists Saturn as good in the 3rd, 6th and 11th, which agrees with the engine on the 11th, and calls Saturn's arrival in the 10th from the Moon "a period of gain" (p. 311). The engine reads the 10th, where Saturn stands before 2 June and after 21 October, as neutral.
Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 qualifies its Ashtakavarga transit rule by the sign: benefic results predominate in exaltation, own or friendly signs, malefic ones in debilitation or an enemy's sign. BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 49-50 puts Jupiter's exaltation in Cancer and Saturn's debilitation in Aries, so Jupiter's stay in Cancer (25 January to 25 June, the 2nd) and Saturn's in Aries (2 June to 21 October, the 11th) both fall in such signs. The engine reads both as favourable by house; the two tests are separate. For Jupiter's stay Saravali Ch. 5 Sl. 14 adds a contrary view, held by some: a planet that enters its exaltation sign in retrograde motion from the next sign, "for example Jupiter entering Cancer from Leo", gives no effect. The engine's Gochara verdict looks at the house only, not the sign.
Saturn phases for a Gemini Moon in 2027
No Saturn phase touches 2027 for a Gemini Moon. Sade Sati is Saturn in Taurus, Gemini and Cancer, Ashtama Shani is Saturn in Capricorn and Ardha Ashtama Shani is Saturn in Virgo; in 2027 Saturn is in Pisces and Aries only. In this app's computation the first phase to begin after the year is a Sade Sati, from 6 August 2029 (7 August in India) to 28 August 2036. BPHS does not name these phases; they come from the later transit tradition. The cycle is tabled on Sade Sati for Gemini Moon sign; see also Sade Sati, its glossary entry, the Sade Sati calculator, Saturn in Aries and Rahu in Capricorn.
What to take care of
Two positions are marked testing in 2027: Rahu in the 8th from a Gemini Moon, for the whole year (Capricorn, 5 December 2026 to 23 June 2028), and Jupiter in the 4th from 26 November (Virgo, to 29 February 2028). Both verdicts are the engine's, cited to Kannan (Ch. XXXI), which is not in the corpus; for Rahu, Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) agrees, listing the 8th from the Moon sign among Rahu's unfavourable houses. The engine's note for a node in the 8th says "real caution and steadiness serve better than pushing forward here", and for the 4th that "steadiness serves better than new commitments here". Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 311) also has the palm-leaf pairing above, Jupiter in the 3rd, where Jupiter stands from 1 to 25 January and from 25 June to 26 November; the engine's other pairing, Ketu in the 2nd, holds all year. None of these names an area of life, so the care points are the ordinary ones for a stretch the engine asks to be taken steadily.
- Plans: with Rahu in the 8th all year, the engine's note puts caution and steadiness before pushing forward; take a large plan in stages and review each stage before the next.
- Commitments: from 26 November, with Jupiter in the 4th as well, give a large new commitment a second look, read contracts twice and ask for terms in writing.
- Dates: Jupiter enters Virgo, the 4th, on 26 November 2027 and stays there to 29 February 2028 in this app's computation; Rahu leaves Capricorn on 23 June 2028.
- Is there a Sade Sati, Ashtama Shani or Ardha Ashtama Shani for a Gemini Moon in 2027?
- No. In this app's computation Saturn is in Pisces and Aries throughout 2027, the 10th and 11th from a Gemini Moon, and the first Saturn phase to begin after the year is a Sade Sati from 6 August 2029 (7 August in India).
- Why is Rahu marked testing all year?
- Because Capricorn is the 8th from a Gemini Moon, and the engine reads Rahu and Ketu as testing in the 1st, 4th, 8th and 12th, a rule it cites to Kannan (Ch. XXXI), which is not in the corpus. - The engine and its sources give rules about positions, not verdicts on a year. Saturn is in the favourable 11th from 2 June to 21 October and the neutral 10th otherwise, Jupiter is favourable in the 2nd from 25 January to 25 June and testing in the 4th from 26 November, and Rahu is testing in the 8th. What that means for one person depends on the whole chart and the running dasha.
