Jupiter and Saturn make five sign changes in 2027: Jupiter crosses three times, and Saturn goes from Pisces into Aries and back. Rahu stays in Capricorn and Ketu, opposite it, in Cancer, the Moon sign itself. Counted from a Cancer Moon, Jupiter's signs are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd houses, Saturn's are the 9th and 10th, Rahu's is the 7th and Ketu's the 1st.
This page reports positions and the rules the engine applies to them. It does not say what 2027 will bring to anyone with a Cancer Moon. A transit is read against the natal Moon sign (the Moon sign calculator finds it) in the method called Gochara, and the Gochar calculator applies the same rules to a birth date on any day you choose. 2027 dates: every sign change and station
The first table lists the five ingresses and three stations of Saturn and Jupiter in 2027. A station is the day a graha turns retrograde or direct (see vakri). Rahu and Ketu change no sign in 2027. Jupiter turned retrograde on 13 December 2026, at 2.82 degrees of Leo, which is why it moves back into Cancer on 25 January.

Dates are this app's computation and may differ from other software by hours to a day or two near an ingress. In India (UTC+5:30) Saturn's retrograde station, at 19:06 UTC on 9 August, falls on 10 August at 00:36, and Jupiter's entry into Leo, at 18:14 UTC on 25 June, falls within an hour of midnight, at 23:44 the same day; the other six dates are the same there. From a Cancer Moon: the house and the engine's reading
Counting the Moon sign as the 1st house, the engine gives each graha a verdict by its house alone. The second table lists every stay in force during 2027 with its true start and end, even outside the year, and the dignity the engine computes for the sign with no birth chart (friendly or enemy is the natural relation only).

In India Jupiter's entry into Leo on 30 October 2026 (23:53 UTC) falls on 31 October, the start of the Rahu and Ketu stay (18:59 UTC on 5 December 2026) on 6 December, and its end (21:57 UTC on 23 June 2028) on 24 June; Saturn's final exit from Pisces on 22 February 2028 (18:19 UTC, 23:49 there) falls within an hour of midnight, on the same date, like Jupiter's 25 June change above.
To read the tables on one day, take 15 March 2027: Saturn is in Pisces, the 9th (neutral), Jupiter in Cancer, the 1st, over the Moon sign (testing), Rahu in the 7th (neutral) and Ketu in the 1st (testing). Jupiter in the 3rd, where it stands from 26 November, also raises the engine's "intensified" flag, because its table pairs Jupiter with that house; Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 311) gives the same pairing from a Tamil palm-leaf reading and says it makes bad results more intense. Each graha's passage house by house is on Saturn transit for Cancer Moon sign, Jupiter transit for Cancer Moon sign and Rahu transit for Cancer Moon sign.
What the texts add, and where the engine goes further
A search of BPHS and Saravali for "gochar" and "transit" finds no house-from-the-Moon rule for Saturn or Jupiter. Both read transits through the Ashtakavarga instead (BPHS Ch. 66 Sl. 70-72, Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 1 and 9-10). The engine's Rahu and Ketu verdicts are its own rule, cited to Kannan (Ch. XXXI), which is not in the corpus. For Rahu, Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) gives one counted from the Moon: good in the 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th "from Moon, Sun or Ascendant", unfavourable over the Moon sign and in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 12th. Rahu in the 7th from a Cancer Moon is unfavourable in the book and neutral in the engine. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, pp. 310-311) lists Jupiter as good in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th from the Moon, which agrees with the engine on the 2nd, where Jupiter stands before 25 January and from 25 June to 26 November. Advanced Predictive Astrology also says Jupiter over the Moon sign "is said to induct a sense of fear and anxiety" (p. 310), which fits the engine's testing reading of the 1st. For Saturn, Advanced Predictive Astrology lists the 3rd, 6th and 11th as good and calls its arrival in the 10th "a period of gain" (p. 311); the engine reads the 10th, where Saturn stands from 2 June to 21 October, as neutral, so there Advanced Predictive Astrology and the engine differ.
Saravali Ch. 53 Sl. 9-10 qualifies its Ashtakavarga transit rule by the sign: benefic results predominate in exaltation, own or friendly signs, malefic ones in debilitation or an enemy's sign. BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 49-50 puts Jupiter's exaltation in Cancer and Saturn's debilitation in Aries, so Jupiter's stay over the Moon sign (25 January to 25 June) and Saturn's in the 10th (2 June to 21 October) both fall in such signs. For Jupiter's stay Saravali Ch. 5 Sl. 14 adds a contrary view, held by some: a planet that enters its exaltation sign in retrograde motion from the next sign, "for example Jupiter entering Cancer from Leo", gives no effect. The engine's Gochara verdict looks at the house only, not the sign.
Saturn phases for a Cancer Moon in 2027
No Saturn phase touches 2027 for a Cancer Moon. Sade Sati is Saturn in Gemini, Cancer and Leo, Ashtama Shani is Saturn in Aquarius and Ardha Ashtama Shani is Saturn in Libra; in 2027 Saturn is in Pisces and Aries only. In this app's computation the phase before the year, an Ashtama Shani, ended on 29 March 2025, when Saturn entered Pisces, and the first phase to begin after the year is a Sade Sati, from 30 May 2032 to 14 July 2039. BPHS does not name these phases; they come from the later transit tradition. The cycle is tabled on Sade Sati for Cancer Moon sign; see also Sade Sati, its glossary entry, the Sade Sati calculator, Jupiter in Cancer and Rahu in Capricorn.
What to take care of
Two positions are marked testing in 2027, both over the Moon sign: Jupiter in the 1st, from 25 January to 25 June, and Ketu in the 1st, all year (5 December 2026 to 23 June 2028). Advanced Predictive Astrology (Vol. II, p. 310) writes that Jupiter over the Moon sign "is said to induct a sense of fear and anxiety", a reading of a transit and not a medical statement. The engine's note for Jupiter there is that it is "more testing even for a natural benefic"; for Ketu it is "real caution and steadiness serve better than pushing forward here", a rule the engine cites to Kannan (Ch. XXXI), which is not in the corpus. Advanced Predictive Astrology (Chatterjee, Vol. II, p. 318) also counts Rahu's transit through the 7th from the Moon sign, where it stands all year, as unfavourable; the engine reads it as neutral. Of these readings, and the palm-leaf pairing on Jupiter in the 3rd from 26 November, only the one on Jupiter over the Moon sign names an area, the mind.

- Why is Jupiter testing in Cancer when Cancer is its exaltation sign?
- The engine gives the verdict by house, and Jupiter over the Moon sign (the 1st) is testing even for a natural benefic. BPHS Ch. 3 Sl. 49-50 makes Cancer Jupiter's exaltation sign, but the Gochara verdict does not look at the sign.

What that means for one person depends on the whole chart and the running dasha.
